Financial / Business Analyst

Financial and Business Analyst will be a hands on leadership role closely working with the organizational leadership and top management to develop creative financial management strategies. Will be establishing major accounting objectives, policies and procedures for the company. Coordinate and direct the budgets, financial forecasts, planning and control mechanisms to highlight variance. Responsible for conducting the company’s relationships with outside entities including banks, lending institutions, financial community, and regulatory bodies in Pakistan, USA and UAE. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis and Advisory

• Acts as the “analytical engine” of the company by providing insights and support needed for optimal business decision making
• Serves as the key finance business partner to the leadership team and provides strategic insights on key business decisions
• Provides direct assistance to senior leadership with data and reports
• Lead the corporate financial planning process for the annual budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and multi-year strategic planning
• Work with other teams to understand their inputs, provide direction and guidance and ensure overall assumptions are aligned
• Undertake appropriate analysis, in a proactive manner, in order to provide meaningful reporting to executive management to support effective decision-making
• Maintain Liaison with other departments of the company to mitigate financial & non financial risks and monitor the control system of the organization

Financial Process Optimization

• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
• Developing and Improve functions like budgeting, forecasting & ensuring financial discipline in the company.
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial  performance
• Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities to planning and reporting processes.
•  Performs ad-hoc reporting requirements and financial analysis.
•  Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes in order to determine the next course of action.

Growth

• Track financial performance and metrics.
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
• Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions based on sound analysis
• Continuously improve planning and forecasting processes and procedures.
• Perform all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance requirements.

Other Responsibilities

• Prepares financial management reporting that clearly identifies historical trends, variances to budget, and key performance metrics
• Quarterly: consolidated quarterly analysis of forecast vs actuals, quarterly forecast updates, foreign cash flow, and other financial forecast reporting
• Annually: manages and coordinates the Annual Operating Plan and provides assistance with Sales reporting

SKILLS

QUALIFICATION:  Graduate Degree in Finance or Accounting and / or CFA, CA or CIMA, MBA from a well reputed university

• 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analysis & Financial Planning
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present concepts at all levels in an organization, particularly at the senior management level.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership skills and collaborative management style.
•  Strong ability to anticipate management information requirements.
• Excellent change management skills and strong conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in a timely and effective manner.
• Experience using a variety of business decision making methodologies such as key performance indicators.
• Having a startup mindset. If you're not sure what a startup is (A startup is NOT a new tech company)
•  Good understanding of IT and Technology Sector in Pakistan. Experience working with Tech company will be plus.
• Ability to conduct market research and develop strategies derived from result analysis
• Able to work independently, as well as lead a small team to drive results thru coaching and mentoring.
