Role and Responsibilities

A PHP-WordPress developer is responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites using the PHP programming language. The job involves creating custom themes and plugins, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring the website is optimized for speed and performance.

You will:

Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP programming language.
Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring that they are optimized for speed and performance.
Troubleshoot and debug website issues, ensuring that the website is always running smoothly.
Collaborate with designers and other developers to create a seamless user experience.
Keep up-to-date with the latest WordPress and PHP updates, and implement them on the website as necessary.
Ensure that the website is secure, and implement security measures as necessary.
Optimize the website for search engines (SEO) and ensure that it is accessible to all users.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, or relevant field
2+ years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on WordPress.
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and API.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Understanding of SEO best practices and accessibility guidelines
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
