Job Description

Our British owned and managed SEO agency is looking to acquire a Junior PHP/Wordpress developer. The company is focused on seo and digital marketing and we require an in-house web developer. The position requires a combination of programming skills (PHP, Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript) and aesthetics (understanding of element sizing, spacing, arrangement and typography). Having a strong understanding of industry best practices is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should have a understanding of the entire development cycle: design, development and deployment. We require someone with a minimum of 1 years’ experience and based in Lahore, fresh graduates can also apply.

Responsibilities

Converting PSD design into a working theme and plugin
Maintenance and performance optimization of existing Wordpress based platforms
Maintenance and performance optimization of existing Shopify based platforms
Ensuring high-performance and availability of the platforms at all times
Management of all technical aspects of content management platforms
Troubleshooting and debugging coding errors and cleaning up HTML/CSS on existing pages
Designing and implementing new features and functionality

Skills & Qualifications

Ability to write clean, solid, scalable code
Knowledge of proficient understanding of web mark-up, especially HTML5 and CSS3
Performance Optimization in Wordpress
Ability to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Understanding of client side scripting, JS frameworks, Incl JQuery
Understanding of PHP back-end development
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5.
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Knowledge of testing across multiple browsers, platforms and devices
