Supports the Area Leadership Team in the strategic and profitable development of the Region.

Provide the necessary operational and financial expertise to the Region/ Area representatives, and Hotels where required in order to assist the decision making process.

Responsible for supporting the coordination of the reporting activities in the Region; analysis and interpretation of statistical and financial information to appraise profitability, quality of reporting, capital expenditure and performance against comparable periods and budgets as required by management.

Provides an independent, objective assurance and through consulting activity, identifies opportunities aligned to the Area strategy for improving management control, designed to add value, improve the organization’s operations and achieve Rezidor’ s Corporate objectives.

Supports the Hotels and acts as Mentor to the respective Hotel Financial Controllers within the Region.

Supports the strategic development in the area by providing input to ADFC when assisting both Business development and Asset management.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1.  Supports and controls the reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities of all business units within the Region, ensuring the production of complete, accurate, and timely information, not being solely limited to Financial information.
  2.  Assists and supports the review of monthly operating unit results, assisting in their interpretation and in developing appropriate on-going actions and business responses. Performs monthly review and follow up of operating units’ within the Region on Capex spending and reporting & Rezidor’s Accounts Receivable.
  3.  To be sufficiently knowledgeable to be able to ensure the integrity of the local financial information and that this is aligned with local legislation and RHG reporting standards.
  4.  Communicates, implements and maintains Group’s policies & procedures and Group’s reporting and Group’s endorsed systems (choice and set up) which guarantees the integrity and accurate presentation of financial results and operational KPI’s. This will include ensuring that finance related processes are appropriately documented and aligned to DPLACE in all of the Business Units in the Region.
  5. This will include ensuring all Rezidor contractual IMA Obligations are being adhered to in all properties within the Region.
  6. At least 2+ years of relevant work experience in direct accounting and finance with a minimum of 3 years’ in the NGO sector
  7. Degree in finance, business administration, management or economics, preferably with completed accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar);
  8. Proficient in SUNSYSTEM, Q&A reporting tool and Excel
  9. Good working knowledge of main humanitarian donors’ regulations (USAID, ECHO, DFID etc)
  10. Ability to manage large amount of data, high attention to details and accuracy
  11. Ability to manage heavy workload and conflicting priorities
  12. Ability to work as part of a team, to orient and supervise
  13. Fluent English (written and spoken), French highly desirable and Arabic a plus.
