Senior Officer - Accounts Payable

Review all invoices and payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval.
Entry of invoices and payments in SAP after 3 way matching.
Ensure appropriate tax treatment to vendor based on applicable tax laws and exemptions.
Prioritize invoices according to payment terms.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Coordinate with procurement department and banks for import related payments
Record, track and adjust advances.
Respond to queries of internal and external customers.
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
Assist in month end closing by recording of monthly accruals.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Provide relevant information and schedules to auditors.
Work to continuously improve the payment processes of LUMS.

Work Schedule:

Business hours sometime extend into the evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of current workloads and event schedules.
