Operation Theater Technician

Helps patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, transportation, and vital sign monitoring. Responsible for maintaining and keeping the operating room before the conduct of surgery. Assists in bringing the patient to the operating room and handles the preparations before and after surgery by washing and disinfecting the area for surgery.

Transports patients, using wheelchair or wheeled cart (Stretcher), or assists patients to walk.
Drapes patients for examinations and treatments, and remain. with patients, performing such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights.
Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone.
Cleans, sterilizes stores, prepares, and issues dressing packs, treatment trays, and other supplies.
Dusts and cleans patients' rooms & accessories, Clinical areas, Counters and Medical Equipment’s.
Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
Prepare surgical instrument and equipment for autoclaving/sterilization per protocol Scrubbing for all types of surgeries and assisting the physicians by handing instruments and holding retractors, etc.
Assist in placing the patient on the OR table.
Maintains and keeps all surgical tools sterile and orderly.
Maintains and keeps all equipment clean and functional.
Order and maintain adequate necessary supplies in the operating room.
