Call center team leaders are lower-level managers who aim to get the best performance possible from those under their charge. They typically report to a customer service director or contact center manager. To maximize productivity and quality customer care, call center team leaders perform a range of primary duties. Among the most common are:

Set clear team goals and KPIs
Delegate sales tasks and set deadlines
Lead and inspire a team of sales agents to deliver excellent levels of individual/team performance and customer satisfaction
Oversee day-to-day teams' operation and performance
Do regular performance evaluation
Create a health and motivating work environment and atmosphere

Team Leader requirements and qualifications

4 years of experience as a Team Leader or similar role.
Must have good American accent
In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
Good PC skills, especially MS Excel
Experience with organizing training programs
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus
Team management experience
Coaching and communication skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a contact Centre environment as a Team Manager
Experience within customer services
Strong coaching and people-development skills through call listening, quality feedback, etc.
Ability to deal with demanding customers and escalations
