The Senior Software Engineer - Java is responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of software solutions in addition to modifying and maintaining existing software. As Sr. application developer you will own detailed technical design development of applications using existing. As a key leadership role, team lead is also accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases of company’ products/services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Designing, developing, coding, debugging, and documenting (J2SE / J2EE) applications and IVR applications based on Asterisk.
- Should have a good skill over Linux.
- Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, use case analysis, and defect management.
- The Sr. Software Engineer would also be responsible for following the naming conventions and commenting standards in source files.
- Optimizing existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for improvement.
- Facilitate in performing impact analysis against software change requests.
- Provide support to troubleshoot and fix issues/bugs in existing applications.
- Should have strong analytic and troubleshooting abilities
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5 years of experience as java developer / programmer / software engineer.
· Java, MySQL
· Asterisk
· Linux
· Eclipse IDE , Visio
· JUNIT / SOAPUI / Web Service Test Tools, Apache Tomcat
· Strength in Multithreading in Java
· Experience in VOIP will be a plus
