Basic Requirements:

Should possess strong written and verbal English communication skills, active listening, a positive attitude, and empathy for coworkers
At least 3.5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility within the accounting function. Up to a maximum of 2.5 years in auditing/taxation may be considered as relevant experience
Should have good knowledge of SECP/Tax and statutory fillings
IFRS knowledge is preferable.
Must possess advanced level expertise with Microsoft Excel
Member or finalists of any professional accounting body (ACCA / ICAP/ICAEW/CIMA/ ICMAP)
Ability to drive and deliver projects single-handedly
Ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment to achieve clear goals

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare invoices and record accounting data in ERP and take care withholding tax liabilities on each transaction on daily basis
Visit banks whenever required
Prepare financial reports as required by the senior management
Ensure, on time month end closing activities along with required informative disclosures
Processing and recording payments as per established SOPs
Prepare bank reconciliations and other management reports on daily basis
Undertake the monthly, and quarterly income tax withholding statement submission
Filing of all the income tax and SECP form A, 29 in online portals including annual tax returns
Issuance of income tax withholding certificates to vendors and employees
Handle and correspond to the notices from FBR, SECP and EOBI
Should possess good command on Employees’ Provident Fund and EOB
Participate actively in external annual audit activities
Special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
Prepare accurate Financial Statement and month-end close reports
Understanding of labor laws, Corporate and other legal compliance requirements in Pakistan will be a plus
Any relevant tasks assigned by the management.
