To Initiate Digital Classroom to support School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) under the theme “Digital Learning for Every Child”. MicroMerger (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking for multiple resources for the position of Field Coach - Digital Learning based in various districts of Sindh.

This initiative has been extended to create infrastructure and long-term online learning opportunities for children in Sindh and to enable teachers to incorporate digital technology into teaching and learning. Field coaches are required to provide, ongoing training, support, and coaching to teachers in the implementation of the Digital Platforms and other initiatives.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs based on field visits and facilitate school-based training and coaching to teachers
  • Support teachers in developing courses/lessons by aligning digital platforms content to SLOs and integrating the digital platforms in their teaching
  • Monitor the use of the digital platforms and tablets to ensure regular and targeted use and provide feedback
  • Conduct daily field visits to schools, including classroom observations to monitor use of digital platforms by teachers and students
  • Monitor teachers’ pedagogy, instruction, and implementation of the digital platforms, and provide evidence-based reports of teachers’ performance
  • Provide professional development on pedagogy, practice and resources that promote student owned learning, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity using digital technology.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to teachers for improvement, and develop tailored action plans for increasing use of digital platforms in teaching
  • Identify student needs in using digital platforms and provide coaching and support for increased use of digital platforms in student led learning.
  • Facilitate regular communication and reporting to program lead.
  • Organize and facilitate trainings, workshops and professional development opportunities for students, teachers, and various district officials on integration of technology in education
  • Support district offices, taluka office for implementation of education reform activities
  • Support other initiatives of education which are being rolled out and already in place in districts.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify students’ interests, learning styles, and unique instructional requirements. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

  • Must possess an extensive knowledge of technological devices and applications commonly used for classroom teaching, management, and student learning.
  • Must have experience using learning management systems/platforms.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of how students learn and can be assessed using technology in teaching and learning.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Education or any related field
  • 4-5 years of teaching experience. Experience of using digital technology in teaching highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Teacher/administrative position managing and evaluating teachers
  • Proven ability of aligning teaching with curriculum/SLOs and lesson planning
  • Experience delivering coaching/mentoring
  • Experience creating and delivering professional development workshops
  • Proven ability to understand technical and administration related tasks
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Sound understanding of the education system in Sindh
  • Proven ability to communicate and report efficiently, regularly, and effectively
