Admin roles can be found within almost every industry, so the duties and responsibilities of an administrator can vary. As an administrator, you may work within different departments throughout an organization. Your focus is to assist company employees, clients and customers, so that business operations run smoothly. Some of the key duties of an admin include:

Managing an office or reception area
Being the main point of contact for personnel within the company and external parties
Greeting clients and customers and fielding inquires in person or by phone
Managing the correspondence and communications of the organization such as phone calls, post and emails
Bookkeeping, record-keeping or data entry into financial, personnel and legal databases and records
Maintenance and organization of company records
Scheduling of meetings and appointments within the company and the arrangement of refreshments and other corporate catering
Management and supervision of other administrative personnel
Oversight of office inventory, including ensuring an adequate supply of consumables, such as stationery or printer ink
Operation and basic troubleshooting of office equipment like printers and computers
Oversight of company expenses and billing cycles
Organizing executive itineraries including travel and corporate events
Should have experience in dealing with government departments like BESSI EOBI etc
