We are a Mining Company with operations in Punjab & Balochistan. The Head Office is being set up in Islamabad for which a suitable candidate is required.

The candidate should be highly motivated and be able to quickly identify issues, their implications and make recommendations. The candidate will closely liase with the Head of Accounts.

The candidate is expected to hit the ground running. Immediate tasks assigned shall include:

Assisting in setting up the accounting system (quick books, peach tree or other suitable software). This shall include business unit level implementation of a systetm of vouchers, internal controls (such as segregation of duties, approvals) to safeguard cash & company assets.
Assisting in setting up the Head Office in Islamabad.
Assisting in Preparing & filing of income tax / sales tax returns.

Requirements

Extensive Knowledge of Accounting, Auditing & Internal controls
Posting Entries & Maintaining up to date accounts of all the business units with monthly closing on an accruals basis
Preparing financial statements Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash flow statement
Knowledge of preparing & filing income tax, sales tax returns
Budgeting & Tax Planning
Setting up a system of internal controls and introducing a voucher system with appropriate internal controls (such as segregation of duties)
Setting up internal controls to safeguard cash and company assets
Experience with accounting software Peachtree, Quick Books or other suitable software
Ability to collate & analyze data and variance analysis
Monitoring performance of the business units and making recommendations
Preferably speaks Pustho as most staff on site with whom the candidate needs to regularly keep in touch speak Pushto
Be willing to travel and stay in remote areas as and when needed
