Role And Rsponsibilities:
- Research and monitor US Federal and State laws/regulations and assess their applicability/relevance to Company's operation.
- Review amd monitor requirements for Company's various subsidiaries' registration in US states. Should be able to independently update and submit corporate filings, if required. Act as point of contact for Company's registered agents and ensure that registered agents are filing timely annual reports in accordance with governing regulations.
- Liaise with Finance Department to ensure that tax related registrations are complete and current.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that Company remains aware of the controlling requirements and adequate procedures are implemented to ensure compliance.
- Should possess demonstrable ability to liaise with various teams/departments including Finance, IT and Operations in order to review and revise the existing policies and procedures for different departments.
- Should be able to lead and accomplish legal research projects by using online databases such as Westlaw; Draft and distribute memoranda which lucidly communicate the findings of research.
- Carry-out research as to the physician licensing requirements for rendering telehealth services in each of the 50 states and abroad. Review, monitor, compile and report changes to the telehealth regulatory/licensing regime at both state and federal levels.
- Should be a self-starter and effective team player.
Education/Requirement:
- LLB from a university recognized by HEC
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent command over written and spoken English
- Proven research and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Tech Savvy with Command over MS Office, PowerPoint, Project etc
- Knowledge about legal research platforms i.e, Westlaw, LexisNexis etc.
