I) DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION:

Muslim Aid is an international humanitarian and development agency based and registered in the UK. Our vision is a world of peace, compassion and justice where all people regardless race, religion, cast and creed achieve fulfillment in all aspects of their lives. The Pakistan Country Programme is working from last 14 years since it established its office in 2005 under the Trust Act with registration no. 24340. It works on promoting sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities across the country through emergency relief and development programmes on child development, education, livelihoods, microfinance, provision of clean water and healthcare to tackle the root causes of poverty with special emphasis to inclusion.

II) JOB SUMMARY - KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate of Strategy and Liaison/ Communication shall be responsible for contributing to the development and smooth implementation of country strategy, and ensure strategy is aligned with SDGs, development goals and humanitarian vision. This shall involve working under the supervision of Country Director to coordinate internal and external communication.  The post holder shall be responsible for overseeing and planning internal & external meetings within MAP departments, Donor Organizations, Stakeholders & Partner Organizations; writing case studies, articles and blogs; contribute to the social media and digital content; preparation of meeting minutes; proper follow-up & Action plan monitoring; and develop timely customized communication for external &internal stakeholders about the ongoing Muslim Aid projects, updates and activities.

When delegated, the post holder shall represent MAP in various forums and/or to a range of external actors.

III) MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Strategy Review and Implementation

·      Provides substantive support on review and implementation of the country strategic framework in alignment with Muslim Aid vision, vision 2030, SDGs and humanitarian priorities.

·    Responsible for ensuring country projects are delivering according to its Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs) and strategic change initiatives (SCIs)

2.       Strengthening Internal Communications

·      Provides coordination and serves as liaison in close collaboration with MAP departments, CLT and meet the entire communication requirements for the smooth running of the programme.

·         Reviews and ensures accurate completion and timely submission of donors, governmental, and HQ reports.

·   Organize and provide substantive and practical support to conferences, meetings, seminars and workshops, as necessary

·     Follow up implementation of established policies, procedures, standards and tools that are consistent with MAP policy and practice

3.       External Coordination and Networking

·         Co-ordination and networking with local and international NGOs and government line departments to exchange information and maintain lively contacts and relations.

·     Support in maintaining partnerships aligned with government and international donors’ priorities while including vision 2030, SDGs and MAP country strategy

4.       Record Management

·     To regularly follow up and update Higher Management and Board members regarding Performance and developments taking place at the Field Office level.

5.       Publications

·   Support on copywriting and production of advocacy and marketing materials and key publications including Press Releases, Annual Reports, Newsletters, Project/Programme Profile/Factsheets, Pictorials, Brochures and other sectoral IEC material.

·         Design, copy-write and distribute regular e-bulletins to promote publications, programme activities, events and other key information 

·     Preparing case studies and success stories and managing its database

6.        Website & Social Media

·       Take responsibility for the development and management of the website and blog, including generating digital content, making improvements to functionality, maximizing its potential and monitoring its performance.

·      Manage and expand social media presence including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube, sourcing and sharing newsworthy information from across the Country Programme.

·  Assist in creating simple but effective photo quotes and infographics for social media.

·     Increase the organisation’s profile by identifying social media influencers

7.       Other duties
