The Opportunity…

MyCity Social is seeking link builders to join our growing company! This role will be responsible for improving and maintaining healthy link profiles to support our portfolio of 100+ websites with more than 10 million monthly visitors.

We are looking for someone that will help to increase and improve inbound links to our websites in order to improve organic search visibility, protect our digital assets, and gain in-market recognition for our portfolio of B2B software websites. You will work together with website editors and writers in order to include links to relevant articles on our websites.

Far beyond our web presence, our traffic and resulting information provides invaluable insights throughout the other products and offerings at MyCity Social. You will report to our SEO Director

How You'll Contribute…

Email and communicate with individuals to ask them to add our target links to an article
Prospect by discovering and gathering email addresses of people you'll contact about link building
Actively manage link profiles to protect against negative SEO, adapt to algorithmic changes and monitor relevant opportunities and threats
Assist SEO and Public Relations team members with processes, procedures and best practices in support of optimal link profile development
Manage, refine and optimize directory listings, citations and contextual references to our portfolio of websites
Develop and support internal link strategies that will be facilitated by our SEO and Web Engineering teams

What You Bring…

At least 1 year of experience in link building, link acquisition, and outreach
Proven knowledge of SEO best practices, especially as they relate to link building
A working knowledge of how to use BuzzStream is preferred, but not required
Knowledge of how to use AHRefs, Agency Analytics
Must enjoy working in a team environment and must work collaboratively with others
Expert level attention to detail is essential
Native-level proficiency in English
Experience using WordPress and supporting technologies to host public websites at scale
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Eager to learn and quick to contribute
