We are looking for an enthusiast Legal and Compliance Director with a “can-do” attitude to join our local Legal & Compliance team.

The Position:

In the role of Director Legal & Compliance, you will manage and oversee Legal Affairs in Pakistan, developing, implementing and continually evaluating the effectiveness of Global and IO Legal strategies, processes and procedures. Will manage BE Compliance Affairs in NN Pakistan.You will serve as Company secretary in NN Pakistan and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory company law requirements and timely annual filings in line with the Companies Act, 2017. You will also be responsible for reviewing, monitor, and update the Region and Global Legal team on local company law requirements to ensure alignment between local laws and NN policies and requirements. Will support Data Privacy Office (DPO) in responding to potential personal data breaches (and coordinate local response).You will manage matters related to key legal and BE Compliance risks (including internal and external investigations, disputes, and litigation) for the Affiliate, and provide assessment to the Management team and Regional Legal & Compliance Team, as relevant. Will represent the Affiliate Legal & Compliance function in Affiliate Management Team and externally.

Qualifications

You must have a Law Degree from a high-ranked Law School and be a Member of the applicable legal bar/law society. Ph.D. in Law or LL.M. degree or equivalent (desired).

You should be an experienced and qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 years of legal experience.
Should have long-time on-the-job experience in a tier-one law firm (overseas working experience will be a plus).
Should have managerial experience of handling teams.
Should have extensive knowledge of, and in-depth experience with BE Compliance in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry (including codes of conduct, FCPA, and UK Anti-bribery Act) in Pakistan.
