OK! Magazine is seeking a confident and dynamic web editor who will write and oversee all celebrity-led fashion stories for the OK! Magazine website. Responsible for producing engaging, dynamic stories, this editor will have a wealth of standout ideas, and leading the agenda on all things celebrity - including fashion trends, news, style files and features. This editor will seek to grow and develop the OK! Magazine readership whilst always remaining on-brand. The ideal candidate will possess an innate knowledge of celebrities, key fashion figures, names and brands, influencers (including models, it girls, and personalities), and a flair for writing grammatically clean and entertaining copy to tight deadlines. This editor will also oversee certain content within the print edition of the magazine from time to time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

To identify the potential OK! angle within any relevant celebrity-led story
To write/commission, edit and social celebrity-focused fashion news and trends, creating and scheduling engaging social media across all OK! Magazine platforms
To oversee, create and update style files
To oversee and strategically define the content plan so as to maximise traffic to the website and video section
To deliver content that both generates long term organic search growth and social media impact across all platforms
Work alongside the features/fashion/managing editor and/or video team to maximise the daily opportunities from all on-brand celebrity fashion imagery
Establish an analytical approach to identifying the successes and failures of content in order to continuously improve and develop it further, whilst systematically updating evergreen content to optimise for search traffic

Essential Skills & Requirements

An ability to identify the key stories of the day, turn out succinct, accurate copy quickly and develop ways in which a story might be followed up as required
Knowledge of the OK! tone, as well as the people and subjects we cover
An outstanding knowledge of celebrities - current, past and future - who constitute on-brand content for OK! Magazine
A team player with excellent leadership, collaboration and communication capabilities; able to self-edit and to edit the work of others and a flexibility to adapt to changes in the digital world and across all out digital platforms
Ability to negotiate exclusives and interviews, with a real social confidence and ability to conduct live interviews (be it via Facebook or Instagram Live, for example)
Develop key relationships with key media agents, PR representatives to secure OK! access
Innate understanding of working across different social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest
Prior experience of working online, meeting tight deadlines, and working on a CMS
