Core Network Team Lead (Manager Networks)

Job Profile:

We are looking for a competent “Manager Networks” who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer networks. As a " Manager Networks," you will lead, own, develop, and design network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. A prospective candidate will be expected to have experience designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise-level IP networks that include support of a heterogeneous distributed desktop computing environment. The potential candidate will make operations reliable and secure. Moreover, he should ensure better performance of various IT functions.

To ensure success, " Manager Networks" will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices, including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired. The candidate must have the ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for the design and planning of network communication systems. The “Manager Networks” must design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.

Expectations

The Candidate should be able to:

•  Installing, Configuring, and Troubleshooting of Networking Equipment: Routers, Firewalls, and Switches.
• Manage, Maintain, and Configure an Internetwork with the help of WAN technologies like PPP, Frame-relay, dedicated T1s, ISDN, and Routing Protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, BGP, MPLS, and RIPv2. Introductory knowledge of Layer-2 Switching, Vlan’s, and Access-list.
• Switches Configuration and VLAN setup on Cisco / Huawei switches.
• Router Configuration and monitoring of Cisco / Huawei routers.
• Vlan configuration, switching ISL, dotlq
• Implemented SNMP on devices to allow for network management
• Implemented traffic filters using Standard and Extended access-lists, Distribute-Lists, and Route Maps.
• Perform Troubleshooting end-to-end between the two sites
• Provide training to staff at the customer location
• Maintain documents of work performed during the day
• Configure and implement Remote Access Solution: VPN
• Implement & Configure Firewall
• Redistribution of routing protocols and Frame-Relay configuration
• Hands-on experience of Network Migration
• Build and maintain Visio documentation for Clients
• Negotiate service contract with circuit carriers
• Configure Traffic Shaping to optimize utilization on Backbone
• Build and maintain Visio documentation database of network topology
• Help establish guidelines and standards for Change Procedures
• Designed and implemented remote solutions for clients

Requirements

An Ideal Candidate shall have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunication or a related field.
• Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP)
• Well understanding of Bridging and switching concepts and LAN technologies
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation
• IP addressing and subnetting, Routing concepts
• Sound knowledge of routing protocols - RIP V1/V2, OSPF, IGRP, BGP and EIGRP
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Technical Competencies

“Manager Networks " is expected to have at least the following technical competencies:

• Previous experience of working on Huawei / H3C /Juniper / Cisco related devices (Switch / Firewalls/ Routers)
• CCNA, CCNP, HCIA, HCIP and/or any other relevant certification is a plus point
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• The candidate must have a deep understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
