Scope: This position exists to assist the Sr. Manager Technical, in the Operations & Maintenance of the Data Center (Systems, Database and the Network), as well as PMD’s IT Support Services.
- Generate regular and on-demand reports on various aspects of functionality and service utilization of Data Center Systems.
- Monitor and ensure the back-up / restoration of the Data Center Systems.
- Assist the Sr. Manager Technical in Developing and Maintaining Technical documentation of the Data Center Systems including the Database and the Storage.
- Assist the Sr. Manager Technical in Developing and Implementing the Data Center SOPs.
- Assist the Sr. Manager Technical in Automating Operational Reporting and Systems Maintenance tasks.
- Assist the Sr. Manager Technical in improving Alarms and Alerts system for efficient and Timely rectification/resolutions of Issues.
- Coordinate with the CMOs and Vendors for the timely resolutions of the problems/issues.
- Review, propose, and implement improvements to Data Center hardware and software in coordination with CMOs and relevant Vendors.
- Coordinate with CMOs and Vendors for the Development of Enhancements / Changes in the Data Center and ensure smooth Implementation.
- Provide backup for Manager Operations and Coordination in his absence.
- Interface with PTA, attend its meetings.
- Explore upcoming Business Continuity scenarios.
- Develop in-house development expertise for the development/proto-type of different proposed solutions.
- Management and Monitoring the Data Centers and Database to achieve 99.90% availability.
- Ensuring Daily/Weekly backups of the Systems.
- Ensuring Daily Checking of Systems / Database logs for identifying any anomalies.
- Efficient Implementation of Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Timely resolution of the Data Center Problems.
- Monitoring and Evaluation of Systems Performance and recommending Performance Enhancement Strategy.
- Coordination with CMOs/Vendors for the Development of Enhancements / Changes in the Data Center and ensuring smooth Implementation.
- Development and Management of SOPs.
- Facilitation of Helpdesk Operations for generating Operational reports.
- Automation of routine Operational tasks.
