Program Background Summary: The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners, Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management, is working with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of children in grades one and two. The project aims to achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: improved classroom learning environment for reading, improved policies and systems for reading, and community based support for reading in Pakistan.
Major Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities
· Maintain & Update personnel files.
· Work with the HR Manager on ensuring that 500 personnel files are complete in line with the personnel file checklist. Each file has around 50 items that need to be reviewed.
· Update the personnel file tracker.
· Work with the recruitment team to resolve compliance observations.
· HRIS data entry of 281 active staff and additional 280+ inactive staff.
· Support in recruitment of 50+ vacant positions.
· Support Recruitment & Selection team in updating relevant trackers.
· In case of any missing documents assist HR Manager to follow up with the staff member to ensure that all documents are complete.
· Assist the recruitment team in completing recruitment procedures including Sourcing, scheduling interviews, reference checks.
· Work with the HR Manager in filing backlog documents in the respective personnel files.
· Prepare and maintain personnel files for Assessments Consultants (Enumerators/Classroom Observers).
· Update tracker for Consultants and Interns.
· Perform other duties, as and when requested.
Job Requirements:
Education:
· Graduation in Human Resource Management, Business Administration.
Work Experiences:
· Interest in human resource is preferred,
Demonstrated Skills:
· Proven ability to organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional grace.
· Diplomatic and strong acumen in establishing positive working relationships with employees and all other stakeholders to maximize cooperation and productivity
· Proven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to manage situations diplomatically and to effective resolution
Language and Computer Skills:
· Written and spoken fluency in Urdu & English required
· Very strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

The project will achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that will work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: Improved classroom learning environment for reading, Improved policies and systems for reading, and Improved community based support for reading in Pakistan.
