- Installation and configuration SQL Servers.
- Configuration of SQL Server Monitoring Utilities.
- Failover clustering using high availability technologies (SAN replications or Other).
- SQL Server merge, peer to peer, or transactional replication.
- Choosing proper technology for new systems (clustering, log shipping, mirroring or other)
- Conceptual knowledge of SSIS, SSRS and SSAS would be a plus.
- Develop, upgrade and deploy scripts across all environments for consistency.
- Ensure Backups of all database servers as per business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Backups Testing to ensure that business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are met.
- Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages during and after office hours including weekends.
- Preferable one-year experience in on-call troubleshooting of production SQL Server.
- Performance Management through server configuration changes, index/query changes or Tuning T-SQL queries.
- Server-level performance issue tracking through DMV queries.
- Working experience on Data Warehouse is preferred.
- Perform schema design, capacity planning, and change control management tasks.
- Design, implement and manage jobs for backup, re-indexing, database optimization and related tasks.
- Manage database systems security and confidentiality.
- Query Reporting on OLTP systems.
- Documenting procedures of all database environment.
- Suggest and implement improvements to the database systems and processes.
