Responsibilities:

Create enhancements to an existing custom built application using Java and Oracle.
Develop new custom applications using Java Enterprise platform.
Participate in development of the work plan for all related projects.
Assign programming tasks and direct the programming activities of in-house technical staff as it relates to Java development for the application.
Mentor in-house technical staff in the area of Java coding and troubleshooting best practices.
Be responsible for creating technical specifications and documentation of all completed user requested enhancements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of IT business application software development experience
Minimum of 5 years of Java Development with at least 2 years of experience in Java/J2EE Technologies as a Team Lead or Senior Developer
Strong experience in developing Web based Internet/Internet, Distributed and Multi-Tier architecture Application using Java and J2EE Technologies
Extensive working experience in J2EE, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, WebServices, REST API, XML, and XML Schema
Experience working in Linux, Unix is essential
Strong experience in Apache Tomcat Application Server/web server essential
Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL & Database technologies with Oracle a plus
Experience using rich UI javascript based frameworks (AngularJS, Backbone, Sencha, etc.) is a plus
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
