Opportunity Notes:

This is a complete work from home international work opportunity. You will be required to work during 9:00 am to 6:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), Monday to Friday and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday. Holidays are granted based on Canadian scheduled holidays.

Job Description

This position focuses on providing direct tangible support to our primary Staff Accountant and to various departments of the company, such as Talent Acquisition and Administration desk. This position requires an individual to be multi-task oriented and able to manage their time in a high-pressure environment.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Perform daily book-keeping and monthly bank reconciliation for all company bank and credit accounts
  • Comply with regulatory guidelines when performing reconciliation and record keeping activities
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Receivables, and perform the necessary record keeping
  • Perform Payroll (if required)
  • Preparing invoices, collection payments using EFT and Merchant Service services
  • Communicate with Business Partners
  • Handle all accounting and financial related inquiries on the company’s behalf
  • Locate and source new candidates through various recruitment platforms
  • for new candidates via cold and warm cold to recruit to the brokerage
  • Promote employee communication activities and channels to encourage feedback from staff and sales people
  • Handling inbound calls
  • Provide back-office and front-desk support when and if required
  • Maintain a high level of care and confidentiality when handling company materials

Job Requirements:

  • 4 year post secondary degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Post Secondary Qualifications are preferred
  • 3-4 years work experience in an Account role in a financial and investments company
  • 2-3 years work experience in a Sales and Customer Relationship environment
  • 2-3 years work General Administrative work experience
  • Proficiency in software tools including MS Office, CRM’s, Accounting applications, cloud-based work environments and internet applications
  • Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information in a concise and logical way
  • A self-initiator with strong organizational, planning and time management skills

  • A desktop workstation based on our specifications with 2 hours battery backup
  • A headset microphones
  • Internet with backup power
  • Electricity backup (Ups/Generator/Others)
