A non for profit organization engaged in support of vulnerable communities through its programmes for Orphan kind, Thirst Relief, Emergency Response, Healthcare and Feed Our World in various areas all over the country. Organization requires services of “Manager Child Care Programs”, duties of that position could be as under but not limited to these:

 

1.             Administrative in charge of all MAGs, Hifz Orphanages and AAG Home/s;

2.             Manage, Supervise and guide all reporting staff including Orphankind, Hifz Orphanage and AAG staff directly;

3.             Provide technical support in implementation of Orphankind, Hifz Orphanage and AAG programmes at residential facilities;

4.             Oversee the OrphanKind sponsorship program;

5.             Ensure that staff is well equipped with tools and skills to perform their duties;

6.             Ensure that all beneficiaries (Orphan children, Elders and other groups) are provided with appropriate support;

7.             Ensure that residential facilities are well equipped, protected and beneficiaries friendly;

8.             Oversee and control residential programmes budget on monthly and quarterly basis;

9.             Preparation of programme’s plans, annual/quarterly/monthly work plans and execution of activities as per approved plans;

10.         Supervise and monitor activities being implemented at all levels, suggesting and adopting corrective measures and implementation of these;

11.         Suggesting changes and innovative ideas in current program according to devised strategy;

12.         Coordinate and networking with line departments, local, national networks relevant to residential programmes;

13.         Co-ordination and networking with local and international NGOs and government line departments to exchange information and maintain lively contacts and relations;

14.         Providing appropriate trainings to projects’ staffs and field staffs;

15.         Ensuring project staff grievances and disciplinary matters are fairly dealt with in compliance of organizational policy and code of conduct;

16.         Outline the resources requirements of programme and periodically assess their appropriateness to meet short and long-term needs;

17.         Putting in place and promote the mechanism of information exchange and learning from experience within program teams and the Organization;

18.         Maintain close coordination with international head office and meet the entire communication requirements for the smooth running of the program;

20.         Development / design / redesign / updating of different formats in accordance with needs and requirements of hour;

21.         Devising projects/activities and events to support physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children;

22.         Ensuring smooth working and implementation of program operations with discipline in all residential programme;

23.         Implementing and revision of the Child Protection Policy as per need and supporting staff ensuring child safe programming is being implemented;

24.         Work with Programme staff to ensure that child protection is being prioritized by the staff in all activities, projects and programmes;

25.         Monitor child protection risks associated with the design and implementation of projects and take appropriate protective actions;

26.         Ensure that all new recruits receive, read and agree to Child Protection Policy and relevant documentation is signed.  Where staff are directly working and in contact with children then a thorough child protection induction should be carried out.  If required arrange for relevant capacity building of staff;

27.         Ensure that awareness is regularly raised amongst beneficiaries (especially children) on the Child Protection Policy and mechanisms for raising concerns / complaints about staff;

28.         Provide technical support to ensure standardized approaches are taken, lessons learned are documented and disseminated, and child safeguarding expertise is built;

29.         Monthly and quarterly visits to each residential project;

30.         Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification & Experience:

·         Masters in social sciences or relative field

·         5 years of proven experience in social sector

Travel Requirement:

Job requires 50% travel approximately to carry out assigned responsibilities within the organizational coverage area of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Must be willing and able to travel.
