A non-for-profit organization engaged in support of vulnerable communities through its programmes for Orphan kind, Thirst Relief, Emergency Response, Healthcare and Feed Our World in various areas all over the country. Organization requires services of “OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN”, duties of that position could be as under but not limited to these:

With the guidance of Programme Officer-General, the Optometric Technician will plan and design the Eye Camps.
The position will be responsible for organizing Eye Camps in deserving communities, schools and other institutions.
Carry our need assessment of communities to analyze Eye treatment needs.
Coordinate with government schools for organizing eye camps.
Responsible for PA OYE Mobile Eye Unit, Its equipment’s material and medicine.
Assist Ophthalmologist in conducting preliminary eye exams during eye camp.
Keep all record of patients, beneficiaries, medicine.
Establish referral mechanism with Eye hospitals for the referral of critical cases.
Conduct follow-up/post assessment of patients.
Manage all record of OYE for programme evaluation and Audit purpose.
Furnish reports as per programme requirement including event reports, periodic reports etc.
The position will ensure PAPK branding and visibility at all stages of projects.
The position will document bottlenecks, problems and issues/gaps, and proposes effective solutions.
Perform any other duty assigned by line Supervisor.
Review feedback received from field and ensure it standard as per SOPs for submission to PM.
IPR submission and approval from relevant department.

Educational Requirement:

Bsc in Vision Science (Optometry/orthoptics) or Diploma/Certificate in Optometric/Eye Technician from reputable institute.

Required Experience:

3 years work experience in a reputable Eye hospital/institute.

Working with Non-Government Sector in same field will be an assest.

Required Skills:

Proficient in Ms Office
Can work with late hours sitting.
Can complete tough tasks with in assigned time.
Can perform work under pressure with minimum errors.
Have no issue with continuous traveling and event organizing
Effective coordination & communication skills
Excellent planning skills
