Mr. Nasir Ali studied population sciences majoring in Demography, Research Methods and Project Cycle Management at the University of Punjab in Pakistan. For the past 16 years, Nasir Ali has worked in different regions of the province Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP, Merged Districts of Pakistan in social and development sectors. He has been stayed in different managerial positions in INGOs and consulting firms in different aspects of community development. Working for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) he was involved in database management, research work, assisted in IT tools developed to manage NFBE ALC system i.e. LitMIS and NFEMIS and GIS mapping to analyze the different scenarios results of the project. During his association with APEX, he has successfully managed and completed different projects for national and international donors such as World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), State Bank of Pakistan, UN Women, UNICEF, UNFAO, UNDP, USAID, OMV Group, TRF, Save the Children, JICA, PPAF, DFID, The Asia Foundation, RSPN, NRSP, SRSO, Punjab Bureau of Statistics (BoS), Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW), Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) Punjab, Agha Khan Foundation and Local Government of Sindh and other bilateral and multilateral organizations under thematic areas, such as health, nutrition, education, child protection, WASH, media monitoring and polio etc. In recognition of performance, he got promoted to Provincial Coordinator in 2011, to manage APEXs portfolio in KP, FATA and Sindh Provinces. Since then, he has been managing third party monitoring projects of UNICEF. His expertise ranges from project management, qualitative quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation, questionnaire designing in digital form on ODK, KOBO and CSPro platform, data management, data processing and analysis, financial administration, proposal writing, and GIS mapping. He has good team-building skills and has coordinated and managed teams of both local and international consultants for timely project delivery. Nasir Ali is currently working as Senior MER Officer at APEX Consulting Pakistan.

Responsibilities: Training of field enumerators, development of field work plans, field visits, sharing field progress report with client on daily basis. Collected data from 1280 household from 7 districts of Malakand Division-KP (Swat, Buner, Dir Upper, Dir Lower, Shangla, Malakand and Chitral). Prepare training report and inception report.
Baseline study of Rule of Law (RoL) in Tank and Hangu districts of KP
Responsibilities: Conduct both quantitative and qualitative researches. Developed survey tools, field staff training, field work plans, logistic and financial arrangements for field teams. Data collection of household and FGDs & KII, data analysis in SPSS. Developed inception report and assist in final survey report.

Major Responsibilities: Performed staff recruitment, training and capacity building, execution of survey, field teams’ plans, financial and logistic matters, data collection, editing and field monitoring in Khushab.
The project was implemented in four district of Punjab including Khushab, Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan and Mandi Bahauddin. The project aim to enhance education through Non-Formal Basic Education. Household Census was conducted in all four district and data was entered in a system for further planning. Non Formal Basic Education (NFBE) schools and Adult Literacy Centers (ALCs) was opened to literate children and adult peoples.
During this project I have performed multiple jobs including, Data Entry Supervisor, MIS/GIS Technician, Research Assistant and GIS Officer. My major responsibilities were as under:
• Develop EFA (Education for All) Mapping for three districts of Khushab, Khanewal and Lahore.
• Develop EFA Atlas Book at District, Tehsil and Union Council Level for above Districts.
• Design a Web Page for EFA mapping with the collaboration of MIS team
• Develop Different graduate maps for selected pilot union councils for planning.
• Develop EFA significance paper & user manual for the capacity building of stakeholders and transfer GIS techniques to the DLNFBED
• To organize workshop and meetings for data sharing and capacity building of Provincial, District and field staff of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department (LNFBED), Punjab and other stakeholders.
