Chief Financial Officer – CFO
Project Financing & Bridge Financing
• Arrangement of short term bridge financing facilities and arranging collaterals thereof along with relevant security documents
• Amendment of the financial model of the Company and running various simulation and sensitivity analysis in the model to evaluate its impact on project viability.
• Obtaining and arranging Letter of Credits, Standby Letter of Credits (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees, Personal Guarantees, Equity and Cost over runs Standby Letter of Credits.
• Function in close coordination with Financiers’ technical, legal and insurance advisors with respect to their respective due diligence reports and responding to their queries.
• Review of all documentation relating to 64 Acres of land acquisition and activation of performance bonds to be received from EPC contractor.
Accounts
• Organize and submit budget/forecasts exercise within timelines; monitor budget accuracy and deliver explanation on deviation from plan to aid management in planning; made financial business plan to know performance.
• Efficaciously prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Examine and implementation of health insurance scheme, accounting software and group life insurance.
Taxation
• Function in close correspondence with Large Tax Payers Unit and Regional Tax Office for day to day tax affairs.
• Handle income tax and sales tax audits, withholding tax assessments, amended assessments and show cause notices issued for discrepancies in returns and compliance with various provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990 and Federal Excise Act, 2005.
• Facilitate external tax consultants and lawyers for preparation of information and details for representing cases before Appellate Tribunals, High Court and Supreme Court.
Adjutant Manager Finance
• Prepared and designed a wide-range of documents for both internal and stakeholders and made presentations to the Senior World Bank management on financial transactions in Pakistan and the requirements of Funds.
• Delivered technical assistance to Ministry of Finance’s Revenue Policy Division to develop new tax policies.
