Working as Project Manager, managing project of construction of complete infrastructure and buildings construction projects of Residential and Academic Blocks of Namal University Mianwali.
As Project Manager, I am responsible for following activities
 
1.    Management of necessary arrangements for the start of the project, coordination with the contractors, consultants and Town planner for the smooth start of the project.

Humqadam - School Construction and Rehabilitation Programme (SCRP), the UK Aid is providing safe learning environments for young boys and girls in the Punjab and KPK. In this programme Classrooms and toilets block is provided along with complete electrical appliances and water supply system. As a District Manager I am responsible for the following aspects of the programme;

1. Responsible for the OVERALL delivery of the Programme in District Lahore and Kasur. To ensure that all school level tasks are completed on a timely basis (meeting the construction schedule, invoice processing, scope and budgetary requirements etc.) through the effective management of the District team
2. Approve the bi-Weekly School Visit Schedules for the DEs’, CDCs’ & SDE.
3. Recommending the Contract Variation Orders, following consultation with stakeholders relevant to the specific VO.
4. Regular Liaison with the District Government Officials to discuss progress and all issues needing resolution e.g. demolition, suggested scope of work changes by SCs etc.
5. Conduct a Weekly Meeting w/ the District Team, with minutes circulated to all concerned within 2 working days.
6. Participate in a MANDATORY weekly conference call with the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader
7. Attend the bi-weekly Contractor Meeting, as requested by the Senior District Engineer.

• Completion of Humanitarian response facility in Hyderabad and Sukkur as UN WFP Construction Engineer. As a construction Engineer I supervised the project kick off, layout of the site, Quality Assurance and teams of contractor and consultant. I was also involved in coordination with Provisional Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) end user of the facility, evaluation of variation orders, verification of interim payment certificates, design changes and value engineering. (Overall Cost 2 Million USD for HRF Hyderabad and 3.5 Million USD for HRF Sukkur).
• While working in procurement department in UNWFP Pakistan, I handled complete procurement procedure for the award of consultancy and construction contracts of HRF Sukkur, Seismic assessment Project of WFP offices in Pakistan, and other miscellaneous construction and renovation projects. I participated in the preparation of Tender Documents using RED Book, Green Book and White Book. Floating of ITB, RFQ and RFP Tenders, managing Pre-bid meetings, Pre Bid Site visit, replying queries of the bidders, Technical and Financial Evaluation of Bids, presenting the case to Local PCC and HQPCC, preparation of contract documents and award of the project.

As a Project manager I am responsible for the smooth progress of all the projects running for the extension of Building Terminal.

Construction of Schools and Basic Health Unit in Earthquake Area funded by UNICEF

As a Resident Engineer I supervised the construction of permanent as well as Pre-Fabricated structures in Earthquake affected area. During my tenure my main responsibilities were

• To provide coordination with field staff on the project activities.
• To give guide lines to field staff to ensure consistency in functions and outputs.
• Responsible for technical as well as administrative supervision for facilities under jurisdiction.
• Recommendation plan, preliminary investigation for the suitability of sites for construction environmental impact and evaluation of technical and economical feasibility.

• As a Consultant Civil Works Quality Assurance, I audited the construction aspects of Telecom Infrastructure of MTN Rwanda and submitted the report along with corrective measures. After the completion of corrective measure, I formally took over the sites on the behalf of MTN Rwanda (2 month short assignment)

As a National Manager Civil Works, I managed the construction activities of different telecom projects, which includes CMPak Project in AJK, PTCL Network Operation Centers across Pakistan, CDMA Projects, Wateen DSL Project in Punjab area. My Functional responsibilities were following. 1. Overall supervision of civil work and Site Acquisition.

3. Co-ordinate with sub-contractors to initiate site construction work in accordance with the design and specifications
4. Monitoring and performing regular site checks to ensure timely completion of installation and commissioning stages and then through handing over to the client.
5. Managing the team of riggers and technicians for tower erection and commissioning of shelters.
6. Verification of BOQ, claims and invoices of subcontractors.
7. Liaison with power department for the installation of permanent power on the site.
8. Liaison with Design department in case of problematic sites.
9. Monitoring and updating of the overall progress using program management software CAPRI.

I was supported by a team of Civil and Mechanical Engineers to understand the client’s requirements and to suggest them the appropriate solution.

2. Training of Engineering Software

Engineering Systems is an authorized Training Center of Autodesk and ER Mapper in Pakistan. Engineering Systems also run number of training courses for Engineers in Engineering Systems Training Center (ESTC). I was responsible to manage the all the activities of the training center.
3. Development of Engineering Solutions Projects for Different Clients
Engineering Systems also provides specialized solution to Engineering organizations. During my stay in Engineering Systems I worked on the GIS Project for Rawalpindi Development Authority and Water Supply Lines for WASA Rawapindi.

From November 2002 to Sep 2004 I served IKAN Engineering Services as a Project Manager in Islamabad Region.
During this I performed the following duties

3. Ensuring the quality of civil works of the sites by random checking and also by implementing the in house quality assuring documents.
