A computer science graduate from Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan. (2005)
Privately, I did Bachelors in Art and local languages as well during my CS degree from university of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
It's been a voyage that made me stand where I am today. I'm standing on my own organizational framework and this is what I've attained out of this voyage. Taking the positives from PMI, CMMI, Agile methodology, Organizational Theory, PRINCE and other frameworks, I came to realize that there has to be my own design of organization that should define processes and ways to improve them in order to run a profitable business with value added to the life of people.
Strategic management, goals alignment, product development, scientific part of project management, defining and improving processes, root cause analysis, finding innovative and predictable states, idea generation and philosophy are the areas I love to work with.
I was a software quality assurance guy in the start of my career after my graduation. Then I improved to quality engineering and then I deliberately switched to project management to hold a position where I can own a project to try to make it a success as I was quite frustrated seeing projects ranging from large-scale ERPs to tiny smartphone apps, failing. The switch was more challenging and exciting rather responsive and avoiding and it did produced fruits beyond expectations that injected such confidence in my decision-making that I came to realize a framework of my own.
Actualizing myself reveals to me that I'm not a an implementer yet I'm not an idealist at the same time. I would love to find ways to taking a position at Mars but would certainly take into consideration all earthly realities.
