·        Spearheaded implementation of Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in diverse municipal sectors, achieving up to 40% decrease in monthly electricity consumption per tube well, equating to savings of 36,000 PKR per month.
·        Coordinated pilot technologies and specialised training, resulting in a 23% average decrease in fuel consumption across a fleet of 44 vehicles, saving 22,500 PKR daily.
·        Guided Water and Sanitation Agencies to integrate SCADA systems, yielding 17% energy savings at disposal stations, and facilitated a monthly reduction of 6 tons of CO2 emissions.
·        Enabled significant energy savings in WASA Lahore\'s tube wells, achieving up to 3,000 units (kWh) of electricity savings monthly per tube well, translating to substantial cost reductions.

My primary duties during this contract position have been to advise on the development of policy and strategy concerning implementing clean energy and climate change projects as per the UNFCCC Framework and the Paris Climate Agreement. Working alongside a wide variety of major stakeholders (including other Pakistan government departments, UNIDO, REEEP, USAID, the Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB),  National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)) and building relationships to ensure successful outcomes, this role has involved the project management of several high-level tasks and duties.
Key Accomplishments:
1.      Developed guidance on climate change adaption and renewable energy projects in line with the Government’s strategic action plan and national development plan.
2.      Identified and developed strategic partners for funding on climate change and renewable energy projects.
3.      Established communication with identified partners and exchanged information and knowledge on adaption programmes.
4.      Overall Management and team building, including staff recruiting, providing, mentoring, projects development, self-development and learning plans to the developer’s team.
5.      Provided climate change and environmental policy and planning advice to the donors and project developers.
6.      Carried out strategic and implementation dialogue, technical interaction with Partners, including UN agencies, USAID, and other multilateral donors.
7.      Prepared technical papers and inception reports to REEEP, UNIDO and energy project developers. 

I led the complete project management of sustainable development renewable energy utilities scale projects, including planning, design, installation, testing, supply chain management, execution, commissioning, facilities management, operations and maintenance (O&M).

Maintained the Highest energy generation and power plant availability at 50MW Zephyr wind power station in 2020 with Zero Loss Time Injury (LTI) and major machinery breakdown.
Developed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and developed active and reactive maintenance and administrative procedures.
Established Asset Management and O&M Expansion strategies for sustainability and promoting energy efficiency and conservation technologies and practices.
Handled coordination with federal and provincial technical and operating committees (NEPRA, AEDB, SEPA, EPA, NTDC, CPPA and K-Electric).
Company Representative on technical, financial, commercial, security and environmental matters dealing with Customers, International Advisors (Lahmayer), Donors (IFC, ADB), Original Equipment Manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, Cummins), Contractors and Stakeholders.
Oversaw the complete Contract Management, including Energy Purchase Agreements (PPA), Operating Procedures, Implementation Agreements (IA), Operations, Maintenance, Erection, Procurement & Construction Agreements (O&M and EPC Agreements), Warranty and Insurance Agreements.
Managed and supervised an overall staff of more than 150 employees, including their Performance evaluations, Training, Workshops, administrative and HSE Concerns.
Spearheading Business Development and relationship management with SMEs and Investor partners.

I worked as the technical advisor and energy expert dealing with the project management and business development of 100 MW Renewable energy power projects.
Key Accomplishments:

Performed additional responsibility of \"Owner\'s Representative\" on behalf of the Companies and redesigned Wind Farms monitoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improved the Farms efficiency by 30%.
Assessed Operations and Maintenance takeover strategies for Wind Turbines (WTGs) & Balance of Plant (BOP) sections.
Deciphered re-negotiation strategies for FWEL I & II and achieved a reduction of 33% by recommending energy-efficient and conservation technologies and methodologies for both Electricity Generating stations.
Liaison with the Federal and Provincial government departments for approvals and vetting.
Initiated monthly senior management meetings to bridge the gap between the Company & the Contractors.

Oversaw site activities and updated operations, monitoring and maintenance standard operating procedures at FFCEL Site, which increased wind farm complex availability by 4% against Warranted Complex Availability of 94.3%.
Monitored pending warranty-related claims and worked for the client, enforced QHSE protocols, achieved zero asset loss, and prepared to report with the regulators, clients, and subcontractors.
Executed preventive, periodic, and scheduled maintenance on Wind Farm Substation and Grid Station with zero complex downtime & resource loss.

Participated in performing site execution, inspection, testing, commissioning and supervision works on 132/ 22/ 6.6/ 0.4 Kilo-volts AC Equipment including scrutiny works on 110/ 48/ 24/ 12 Volts DC Equipment
Key Accomplishments:

Processed desktop review of Wind Farms design & EPC and managed MPCL & GAWPL USD 93,000/- by recommending improved and cost-effective electrical and MEP infrastructure design during the project\'s design phase.
Checked run reliability tests on wind turbine generators and SCADA system as per provision in the energy purchase agreement and oversaw the installation, EPA & EPC testing & commissioning of the wind farm.
Responsible for the overall electrical Construction, Testing and Commissioning activities.
Responsible for coordinating with Power Purchaser and Independent Engineer (IE) for inspections and testing of equipment.

Responsible for implementation and monitoring of all electrical related works at the Steel Manufacturing Plant, which involves Construction, Installation and Testing of 132kV Switchyard equipment along with 50MVA Power Transformers, Auxiliary Transformers, Earthing Transformers, Erection of turbines and their installation
Key Accomplishments:

Examined Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) of gas turbines, medium voltage switchgear and distributed control system (DCS). Developed Single Line (SLDs) and Interconnection Drawings for review & approval of HOD Electrical.
Forecasted operations and maintenance (O&M) Shift In-charge of 30 MW Gas-fired Power Plant. Conducted preventive, periodic, and scheduled maintenance as Team Leader with ZERO downtime.
Prepared feasibility studies on 10 MW Solar & 1 MW Biogas Power Plants and customized commercial and residential solar solutions under TSML Engineering.
