I am working as Senior Engineer (Asset Integrity), IMS Department Qatar Petroleum on behalf of NPS. IMS department is responsible for maintaining the RISK of pressure equipment’s at acceptable level through inspection and risk mitigation measures. Lloyd’s registered software Capstone RBMI (Reliability Based Mechanical Integrity) is used for Risk Based Inspection methodology. I am responsible for inspection management, defining priority for inspections, critical analysis, defining damage mechanisms for particular equipment, assisting inspection teams, developing inspection plan, defining inspection task, preparing shutdown scope challenge as well as planning the inspection activities for 3000+ pressure equipment’s at NGL plant Mesaieed Qatar. I am also involved in field inspections to monitor and identify the possible degradation mechanisms
Below are the details of responsibilities:
To maintain RISK of pressure equipments at acceptable level using RBMI methodology involving inspection and Risk Mitigation measures
1. To update inspection reports and inspection confidence in RBMI based on the results of inspection
2. Enter potential damage mechanisms and corrosion rates into Capstone software as per API guidelines defined in a corrosion study in order to update risk ranking.
3. To run criticality of pressure equipment’s and update the inspection plans
4. Support the Senior Discipline Engineers in the assessment of problems both technical and operational by sourcing information, progressing actions, notification of actions etc.
5. Planning for shutdowns and identifying inspection criticality
6. Identifies critical process equipment and piping.
7. Establishes and executes appropriate Inspection / NDT plan.
8. Prepares scope of work for major, modular turnarounds.
9 Involved In inspection of Pressure vessels heat exchangers coolers during NGL-4 shutdown 2017

1. Supervise Inspection team, comprising of both Inspectors and Senior Inspectors

3. First point of contact for Inspection related queries/requests

TPI OF STEAM & MUD DRUM FOR WATER TUBE BOILER: ICI SODA ASH PLANT
Due to condition of boiler, ICI decided to replace steam drum, mud drum and tubes of water tube boiler.
Boiler was constructed as per BSEN 12952.
i) WPS and WQT preparation, witnessing qualification and Lab testing as per BSEN.

During Inspection of boiler severe metal loss was observed in one boiler and repair was recommended to restore the minimum thickness as recommended by design code Activities include:
