With completion of certification on “US Immigration and Visa Operations” from the US National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Foreign Service Institute, US Department of State in Wahshington DC securing 92% examination passing score, I worked for the US Department of State at its Foreign Mission in Pakistan. As a Team Leader in the Immigrant Visa Unit, main responsibilities were conducting interviews with the immigrant visa applicants, reviewing case files and submitting recommendations to the American Supervisor towards final decision on a case in the light of applicable US laws. Personally prepared immigration visas and visa packages.

As part of cross training program, carried out field investigations and prepared investigation reports while working in Anti-Fraud Unit on a short assignment. Achieved success record with identifying fraudulent cases with an average of 90% in the assigned cases when visiting Lahore along with an American Officer.

Also, provided Urdu/Pushto-English interpretation services. Reviewed and responded to incoming walk-in, written and telephonic inquiries from the visa applicants, petitioners, immigration lawyers and US Government legislators representing the U.S Congress and the U.S Senate.

My main achievement in the job was to be the first among initial THREE staff members who passed PC-102 Examination, \"Immigration Law and Visa Operations\". The other key achievement was successful rollout of K3 & V visa program during the inception phase as I single handedly managed K3 visa operations in Pakistan from scheduling visa appointments to maintaining individual case records, conducting visa interviews and issuing visas.

On many occasions have been included in the teams to serve as duty staff during the high level visits of the U.S. delegates to include visit of the U.S. President, Mr. Bill Clinton and special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
