Under the supervision of the field coordinator The WASH  activity manager is in charge of carrying out and accomplishing the objectives as defined in the operation proposals.
He/she is responsible for the supervision of the operational teams assigned the WASH and Shelter activity.
He/she must ensure that the WASH  activity are well executed and deliver quality results, where appropriate, proposes adjustments or developments to ensure relevance. 

The main tasks include:
Diagnostics and project conception:

Participate in the preparation and implementation of diagnostics
Participate in the design and the financial dimension of the human and logistical programs to implement
Prepare the appendixes and technical chapters (of logical framework) of operation proposals
Implement the activities in compliance with the annual operational strategy, ACTED International’s technical requirements and the donors criteria
Participate in the development of the WASH & Shelter team’s capacity in regard to techniques or new methodologies 

Implementation and operational follow-up:

Plan the WASH activity(ies) with the support department (Administration, logistics) according to the set objectives
Assess the relevance of activities, the effectiveness of interventions, and their appropriateness in light of changing circumstances and the needs of populations
Propose adjustments to programs if necessary
Make sure the objectives for the activity(ies) under his/her responsibility are achieved
Suggest and implement monitoring indicators for the WASH activity(ies) and context
Use the SI management and monitoring tools for the activities, results and context
Plan and supervise the implementation of the WASH activity(ies) under his/her responsibility
Anticipate difficulties in the carrying out of the WASH activity(ies) and facilitate problem solving
Suggest new …activity… activity directions in accordance with context and indicators
In cooperation with the administrative department, help draw up budgets for his/her activity(ies), budget follow up and proposal budgets for the program parts
Prepare Internal Order Forms (IOF) and follow orders using the logistics service
Report the state of decentralized inventory to the logistics department (“field” inventory) 

Capitalization 

Write the capitalization documents in accordance with ACTED tools
Prepare handover reports before the end of his/her employment contract and forward them to concerned parties in the mission and at headquarters
Ensure diffusion of SI technical documentation 

Human Resource Management     

Recruit the national technical staff for his/her activity(ies)
With the administrative department, define the prerequisites for the WASH  vacant positions and, if necessary, adapt the referent job profile.

As part of this activity, the WASH Coordinator will be requested to contribute to the design, plan, organization, and implementation of the field jobs of surveying, data- collection, and report compiling.
    Collect information, related to his/her specific sector, from different sources (available publications, field surveys, internet, colleagues, etc.) and with different methods (including direct interviews); verify their reliability; elaborate, organize and archive them in a suitable format - to be agreed with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer - accessible to project staff
    Contribute to design and revising questionnaires and other tools for the data collection
    Based on an accurate knowledge of LRF projects’ rationale, goals, expected results/indicators/sources of information, the Wash Coordinator will be requested to support the Program staff in the design, organization, and implementation of monitoring campaigns and the collection of information for the updating of the indicators.
    Prepare a final report on the activities under his/her responsibilities, including notes on methodology, tools, target groups, achievements, lessons learned, guidelines, impact evaluation, and Case studies.
    In general, the WASH Coordinator will be requested to maintain a good knowledge of LRF internal rules, Human Resources policy, codes of conduct, and official Internal Communications.
    Design, plan and organize “Hygiene awareness & promotion campaigns in multiple projects as per program strategy.
    Coordinate the action with the other actors involved (trainees, community representatives, local authorities, other project units, etc.)
    Collect, evaluate and revise existing - or produce new IEC material - documentation (radio campaigns, brochures, manuals, banners, etc.) to be used and distributed to trainees during campaigns and hygiene awareness & promotion activities.
    Train and instruct relevant WASH staff on contents and methods of hygiene promotion campaigns, techniques of dissemination of good hygiene behavior, and best practices of domestic water use and sanitation.
    Train and instruct village-based volunteer hygiene promoters as per project design and criteria
    To develop manual(s) on hygiene promotion activities focusing on the training of trainers (TOT).
    To conduct ToT on hygiene awareness activities to build the capacity of WASH officers and Hygiene promoters for further delivery of hygiene awareness sessions in communities.
    Ensure adequate monitoring mechanisms are in place to review outcomes of WASH interventions and progress against action plans; including an analytical interpretation of the best available information to benchmark progress over time.

Creative Associates International Inc. is an international non-government Organization, working across the globe on development and physical infrastructures. CAII, recently intervened in FATA and FRs regions of Pakistan. As a field engineer, I am responsible for the implementation of grants, specifically rural infrastructure projects in assigned areas also includes providing engineering expertise to the design, development, construction, monitoring, and evaluation of medium and small scale infrastructure projects throughout FATA. The job also entails to design architectural and structural drawings, as well as create bills of quantity, material specifications lists, and other technical documentation related to design, cost estimation and implementation of the infrastructure grants. The position includes maintaining working relationships with local, district, provincial and regional governmental authorities and facilitates activities that assist government authorities to liaise with community leaders, individuals and groups to identify, prioritize and implement infrastructure projects that meet community urgent needs. The job profile contains to assist with the negotiation of contracts or agreements with contractors and engage in the administration of grants as well as assist in the tracking of financial expenditure of all program funds in areas of responsibility. In the last but not the least to provide regular written and oral reports regarding the status of projects to the senior program engineers and maintain software and hardware records of the overall projects in accordance with the program standards procedure.

Working with A-I team NCRS provide technical assistant to ongoing construction also produce/give solutions over non-compliant houses. Also provide technical assistant to artisan, local community persons about safer construction.
To looking for possible solution of noncompliance houses, also refer that case to higher level or NESPAK in which we have no better solution also for case study.
Go door to door along army inspection team on those houses which army reject as Engineer make decision this house is according to ERRA policy, or safe as per engineering rules. Give decision is it pass or not.

Lead respective field EQT team and train community in construction of houses as per ERRA/NESPAK instructions and standard guidelines.
Conduct training session and train community how to construct earthquake resistance rural houses.
Arrange, facilitate and conduct feasibility studies survey and need assessments, as and when required the ongoing program or future project proposals.
Coordination and daily updates of the field activities with project in charge.
Arrange and facilitate meetings and seminars with communities and involved agencies.
