Miss Nighat Sultana Pathan Professional monitoring and evaluation officer having Master Degree in Sociology and Master in Education (M.Ed) from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, with 10 years of experience dedicated to tracking and reporting, Community Mobilization, Counseling of PLW and multiple other Projects and Response 2010 -Emergency Response and Recovery Program of Save the Children International –and Worked on USAID funded Projects Sindh Reading Program(-SBEP) and Pakistan Reading Project in different Designations and worked closely to District Education Department of Jacobabad and Shikarpur.
Three years of Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
● A minimum of five years of monitoring and evaluation experience using USAID or similar systems and templates with at least two of these years preferably working on education programs.
● A demonstrated ability to work collegially and productively with a variety of stakeholders/partners.
● Strong M&E skills, data analysis, and report writing skills are required.
● Knowledge and experience of performance evaluation and monitoring systems. prior experience in Third Party Field Monitoring under the umbrella of UNICEF funded Projects in multiple Districts in Sindh. Professional experience and education have helped to develop a comprehensive view of the productivity process, including how to accurately measure progress beyond simply reporting numbers. Recognized in the past for having a unique understanding of how to identify areas outperforming expectations as well as those that need improvement, and looking to employ those skills to help further the progress of another professional organization.
JOB Responsibilities
o To consult with supervisor and develop monitoring framework of the project in-line to approved MEAL framework of the project. Prepare necessary monitoring and data collection tools of project.
o To conduct regular field monitoring visits to project communities to review and support the process and report the findings to the management for rectification. Hold debrief sessions with field team in-line with monitoring framework.
o Organize and support surveys, data collection, data compiling, verification, validation, classification, completeness, correctness and consistency; hold follow up on any data quality issues.
o Prepare field monitoring and monthly/ quarterly progress reports of the project activities based on process measurement and factual data analysis; and focus to capture the intangible results for reporting.
o Design M&E tools and templates in collaboration with the supervisor. Data entry of students and manage database of project activities.
o Conduct project process evaluations to ensure all processes are executed timely and effectively
o Consult with relevant stakeholders in order to improve the delivery of project KPIs
o Data collection, data entry and data management of surveys and project activities in project areas as per requirement. Backup project data safely in an external portable HDD or cloud service (Google Drive)
o Prepare field reports of activities and visits to NFE centers. Prepare quarterly reports to reflect performance and progress of NFEs
o Any other task assigned by supervisor
Major Responsibilities:
 Facilitate in-service professional development activities in the UC/Tehsil/District that include face-to-
face trainings, follow-ups and roll out of TIG activities.
 Support teachers in implementing newly learned concepts and skills through regular follow-up support
visits to schools.
 Work in close collaboration with teachers, head teachers and concerned education officer(s) in preparing and implementing school/ union council/ tehsil based reading improvement plans and strategies
 Assist District Program Manager in managing administrative and logistic issue for a smooth
implementation of program activities in the district.
 Assist District Program Manager in developing monthly cash projection against program activities, disbursement of project beneficiary allowances, district based procurement (as and where needed) and maintaining update financial and compliance records/matters.
 Assist District Program Manager in compiling monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports by providing updated and accurate information from field. In addition, collect and share success stories from the field to highlight impact of the program.
 Prepare/partake in detailed weekly/monthly plans including field travels/school visits while adhering
to quarterly/annual/LoP work plan targets and indicators.
 Ensure proper record keeping of the TIG meetings, follow-up visit, and teacher observation tools and
reporting those to the district office accordingly.
 Support teachers in maintaining portfolios with up to the mark quality
 Assist the district, provincial and national offices in undertaking monitoring and data collection tasks.  Collect content analytics from tablets
 Provide updated contents, and first level support to tablet users about tablet and multimedia content  Compile success stories from the field and undertake case studies to highlight impact of the project.
