Responsible for mobilizing the communities to play an effective role in promoting the practices related to MCH. Assist Project Staff in the overall planning, supervision, implementation, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of the project activities. Prepare monthly /quarterly work plan for assigned activities. Ensure the implementation of work plan activities under project in target district. Provide support to LHW program in organizing trainings on Support Group methodology. Support LHW program in monitoring of Support group meetings in LHW’s covered areas. Monitoring female Support group meetings in uncovered areas. Participate in LHW program monthly meetings at district level. Organize Advocacy events on MCH at district level.
Implement comprehensive maternal infant and young child nutrition program (MIYCN) Baby Friendly Community initiative (BFCI) approaches.
Train and mentor the emergency response program staff and the integrated community health promoters through identification of capacity gaps and carrying out refresher trainings and on the job trainings.
Plan and conduct trainings on Growth Monitoring Promotion (GMP), IMAM and MIYCN to other mainstream health professionals.
Develop key messages in nutrition to the targeted beneficiaries, and ensure it is delivered appropriately.
Offer nutrition support through counseling to individuals with medical conditions including Comprehensive Care Clinic clients.

• Conduct Simple Rapid Assessment (SRA) of all mothers with children less than 24 months

• Maintain clear communication with all other CMAM Programme staff regarding the status of beneficiaries, including Nutrition Assistant, Feeding assistant and Stabilization staff.
• Provide the Pregnant women with preparatory counseling for breast-feeding and colostrum is feeding, to ensure prevention of pre-lacteal feeds and bottle-feeding.
• Counseling the mothers on good maternal nutrition during pregnancy and lactation.
• Ensure strong communication links with all other CMAM staff, providing advice and support to all other staff members on IYCF issues as and when they arise.
• Conduct education sessions within the surrounding community on the importance of IYCF practices in conjunction with community Mobilizers.
• Aid in establishing mother-to-mother support groups/committees within the community to provide additional support for mothers and extend knowledge of good IYCF practices.
