My name is Tahir Hussain. I am a master's degree holder from the University of Peshawar. I have experience of about 15 years in the social sector in different organizations. From 27th May 2006 onward I am working for ultra-poor, vulnerable, disabled, and marginalized communities for their sustainability.


Currently, I am working at Aga Khan Agency for Habitat as an FSU Lead in the PIMSNP project funded by NDRMF (National disaster risk management fund) and AKF (Aga Khan Foundation). I am based in District Mansehra.


I worked in Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) Mansehra office as a District Program/planning Officer in the PIMSNP project funded by NDRMF (National disaster risk management fund) and AKF (Aga Khan Foundation).


I also worked in Apex consulting Pakistan as a District Monitor and field monitor.


I worked in FRD as a Divisional monitoring coordinator


I worked in Oxford Policy Management (OPM) as an area coordinator.


I worked in HAASHAR Association as project coordinator for livelihoods


I worked in SRSP in the RnR (Reconstruction and Rehabilitation) project of the World Bank in SRSP Batagram.

Conducted introductory meetings with DHO, DPRC to sensitize them of the respective assignment, explained the purpose of the problematic and financial support functions, processes, and communication protocols. Reviewed and participated in the micro-planning process. Monitored the distribution of supply i.e., AEFI kits, vaccine carriers, etc. Participated, monitored, and validated the training process. Provided real-time feedback (through rapid pro) to provincial oversight consultants and UNICEF provincial focal point on daily basis to ensure the corrective actions are taken to mitigate gaps. Facilitated all the activities regarding measles SIA audit both problematic and financial at all stages of the campaign (pre, intra, and post campaigns) and reported the proposed corrective measures according to the agreed guidelines. Compiled and shared the final report at the end of the assignment.

My responsibilities were to monitor the field activities (completed and ongoing) of IP, daily and monthly report writing, to ensure the corrective measures in case of any deviation from the approved plan.

I worked as a divisional monitoring coordinator in FRD, UNICEF for the services of TPV (third party validation) in MICS (Multiple indicator cluster survey) 2017. I was based in the Hazara division. As Bureau of Statistics (BoS), P&D (Planning and development) department government of KPK was conducting multiple indicator cluster survey 2016-17 in KPK with the technical and financial support of UNICEF. Monitoring responsibilities as a third-party validation (TPV) assigned to FRD foundation for rural development. The results of the survey will be useful in planning strategies and formulating plans for the socio-economic development of the province. The results will also provide a basis for resource allocation to the districts. A total of 22,140 households were assigned for survey questionnaires including the HH questionnaire, women questionnaire, and child questionnaire. There was one team working in each district of KPK. And the role of TPV teams was to monitor the field activities of MICS field teams.

I worked as area coordinator in BISP follow up house hold survey, in Oxford policy management. My responsibilities were to manage the teams (each consisting 7 to 10 members) in the field in Lahore Division. The data collected will b used to compute estimates regarding different socio-economic aspects typical to Pakistan including mainly household consumption, demographic characteristics, employment, BISP operational performance, education and the status of the women. This data set will be used to identify the impact of unconditional cash transfer on the socioeconomic conditions of the beneficiary of the households.

•       Capacitated executive members of VCCs through CMST (community management skill training) and LMST (leadership management skill training). 
•       Identified basic needs of the community.
•       Completed social and environmental feasibilities. 
•       Implemented DWSS (drinking water supply schemes), Access Roads, Water Ponds, Dug well, and Hand Pumps along with the technical staff. 
•       Clustered VCCs into UCCs (union council coordination committees) at the union council level. 
•       Monitored 57 CF (community Facilitators) regarding their activities.
 •       Established 25 Orchards of different varieties in different villages of Konsh valley. 
•       Formed KOA (Konsh valley Orchard association)
•       Distributed fruit plants, forest plants, fodder plants, maize seeds, 
vegetable seeds and fertilizers among VCCs members on aspirations based.

I worked for SRSP from 27th May 2006 to 30th Sept 2009 as team leader social organizer in the world bank’s Reconstruction and rehabilitation project. I was based in the Battagram district. My responsibilities were assessing the houses for their damage categories. Creating awareness in the communities through training them for the reconstruction of earthquake-resistant houses, assessing the houses that are being constructed to plinth level and finally to lintel level. Assessed the community in the reconstruction of 755 houses per ERRA guidelines. Formation of community-level organizations and implemented different CPIs like DWSS, Street Pavement, Dug wells, and water ponds.
