Planning and execution of preventive corrective maintenance works over DWDM and SDH Networks.
Maintaining spare parts management for the Optical Network.
Troubleshooting of various critical faults incurred in the optical fiber links, like R_LOS, R_LOF, optical power degradation, OSNR degradation, NE visibility issues, ECC congestion, hardware failure issues, optical amplifier/Raman amplifier issues, protection switching issues etc.

Successfully completed Transport SDH implementation project for South Region (Additional links and Additional 10G/2.5G Wavelengths).
Successfully planned and implemented Ericsson SPO 1410, 1460, to establish integrated transmission network, for 3G/Ethernet traffic.

Transmission Engineer (Project name Telenor DWDM Project)

Responsibilities



Complete maintenance, level-I, II support of HUAWEI DWDM BWS1600G and
SDH OSN7500, Metro OSN1500/2500/3500.
Troubleshooting of various critical faults incurred in the optical fiber links, like R_LOS, R_LOF, optical power degradation, OSNR degradation, NE visibility issues, ECC congestion, hardware failure issues, optical amplifier/Raman amplifier issues, protection switching issues etc.
Planning and execution of preventive maintenance works over DWDM and SDH Networks.
Creation and dilution of various SDH trails (VC12, VC4, VC3 etc.), L2/L3 switching and routing, PW's/VLAN's/Tunnels for 3G traffic (Huawei U2000 Ericsson CRAFT terminal).
Network Availability, Accessibility and Service Availability reporting and KPIs, Working on STM-16/64 MSP rings, carrier Ethernet, spur.
Coordination with other depts. for any change management in the existing network.
Monitoring SDH/DWDM links via Huawei U2000.
Having hands on experience over Huawei SNMS (iManager U2000), Optix Navigator, Optix Inspector, SDH Analyzer, Optical Spectrum analyzer, optical power meter and laser source etc.
Performed OSNR Testing multiple DWDM sites of Telenor using Optical spectrum Analyzer ( EXFO FTB 200).
Rectification of various optical, environmental and electrical related alarms on occurring basis over NG-DWDM and NG-SDH network.
Implementation of various STM-N plans.
Providing technical support to various technical teams across the region, averting breach in the SLA.
Routine maintenance for various optical nodes including long haul NG-DWDM NG-SDH.


Supervised hardware installation for Huawei BWS 1600G (DWDM) and OSN7500 (SDH).
Prepared hardware installation report for customer clearance.
Prepared/Organized test protocols for DWDM and SDH tests, and further approval from customer.
Performed on site ATP (Acceptance Test Protocols) for DWDM (Mean Launched Power, Receiver Sensitivity, Side-Mode Suppression Ratio, Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio, 20db Spectral Width, channel gain, insertion loss, allowable frequency deviation etc., and SDH/OSN (Mean Launched Power, Receiver Sensitivity, Input Jitter, Output Jitter for STM-N level in presence of customer.
Installation and commissioning of Huawei NMS (T2000, iManager).
Hands on experience with various Telecom Instruments such as, SDH Analyzer,
OSA (EXFO FTB 200), Optical Power Meter etc.
Creation of multiple NE's (Network Element) at Huawei SNMS iManager (T2000), creation of fibers and creation of MSP (Multiplex Section Protection) in Ring Topology.
Performed 24 hours BER Test for ring topology.
Optimization/expansion of DWDM and SDH network.
