Purpose
To serve as town/tehsil manager for delivery and operations of all polio activities at town/tehsil level, supervision remains integral part of town/tehsil delivery and operations function including pre and Intra Campaign Monitoring and supervision.
Activities
Lead the implementation of campaign activities including day-to-day campaign delivery by leading the team, which oversees campaigns in the field, necessary coordination on relevant/cross cutting function i.e. ISD, Synergy, and Surveillance, Data Usage and Integrated communication and operations tasks.
Deliverables
▪ High quality micro-plans developed with targeted household level strategies
▪ Effective escalation and resolution of all operational issues
▪ Campaign logistics and vaccine arranged and distributed on time (at least 3 days before campaign) ▪ Relevant staff TOT conducted prior to the campaign (# and %)

KPIs
▪ Field validation of micro-plan and micro census before every campaign (30% UCs at district level through DEOC members)

SUMMARY OF ACHIEVEMENTS:
.       Approved the demand of 21 additional staff to ease the burden on already working staff

District focal person to coordinate & support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of district Polio Eradication Initiatives (PEI) Activities, expanded program on immunization (EPI), Social mobilization and communication planning (particularly SIAs) in the assigned district (compromised areas) in collaboration with Provincial Government, Department of Health and partners Organizations (WHO) and Rotary.
Reporting to Provincial CBV Manager and Communication for Development Officer (UNICEF) at various levels, (Facilitating during Pre-Campaign, Intra Campaign and Post Campaign) Providing information regarding updates of polio campaigns, implementation of Religious Support Activities in pre-campaign, Intra campaign as well as Post campaign coverage.
SUMMARY OF ACHIEVEMENTS:
·         Exceeded targets and key performance indicators Re-organized the teams to make work in the field more efficiently Achieved measurable outcomes after capacity building training\'s and on job training\'s that added value to the polio Eradication program and Strengthened Routine Immunization.
·         Trained, inducted or coached new staff members prior to Campaign.
·         Achieved target by Community Mobilization Activities and support from community in covering the persistently missed children.
·         Implemented free Medical Health camps and provision of Nutritional and medical logistics supplies in the Refusal pocket areas with collaboration of PPHI and Agha Khan Foundation Karachi.
·         Actively contributed in team management, that the stakeholders and Partners contributes having one team concept.
·         Contributed to outstanding field surveys for 30 house clusters. Identified problems/Gaps during field and solved with pragmatic approach.
.         Substantially increased support from community during Refusal coverage and NA coverage

Planning and Organizing
Planning In coordination with the WHO-supported Union Council Polio Officer (UCPO), responsibility to ensure communication, social mobilization planning, regular dialogue with Religious personals, maintain close contact with religious NGOs and community based operating organization within the assigned areas. Identify UC-level activities for inclusion in District level communication plan and communicate to District Health Communication Support Officer (DHCSO) Assist in preparation of SM work plan and IEC activity plan for the respective areas. Participate in UPEC meetings and support development and implementation of UC social mobilization plan.
Leading and Supervising Social Mobilization/Communication Support
Social Mobilizers (SMs) in creating awareness and educating the community about on-going activities for polio eradication and routine immunization Identify, recruit, train (build capacity of SMs on skills, effective counselling such as partnership building, planning etc.) and supervise social mobilizers in high risk areas (HRAs).
SUMMARY OF ACHIEVEMENTS:
·         Able to meet the deadlines according to PEI/EPI Program Achieved measurable outcomes after capacity building training\'s and on job training\'s that benefit to the polio Eradication program and Strengthened Routine Immunization.
·         Ensured conduction of community based activities, school sessions, influential meetings that supported UC team in coverage of missed children and chronic refusal.
·         Identified Outreach sites for IPV and Measles vaccination that helped in maximum coverage.
.         Updating of Dashboard, Polio info Pakistan, with complete details of monitoring and Coverage.

To serve as out-reach and community contact points in support of social mobilization and use of interpersonal-communication with care-givers, parents, family members and other community members/leaders in promoting acceptance of polio drops (OPV).

Communication
Perform interpersonal communication (IPC) and counselling with families having pregnant women, children vulnerable to polio and susceptible to other communicable diseases
Accompany house-to-house team, facilitating entry in all houses allowing team to initiate queries on immunization and providing information on all

On an ongoing basis, ensure that project-monitoring data is collected, stored and analyzed in a clear and professional manner. Working closely with the Data Management Officer DMO ensures that all data is verified and cleaned before analysis and archive.
·         Conduct different assessments surveys on project-implemented activities using agreed tools to ensure the data collection
·         Frequent field visits to carry out process monitoring based on minimum standards and output level indicators
·         With the support of the TRDP Manager, TRDP Officer along with the DMO to ensure that data collection tools are appropriately designed to allow the proper collection and processing of information as per TRDP requirement
·         Ensure that all database for all surveys are properly managed
·         Ensure that appropriate data validation and cleaning procedures are implemented to verify the authenticity of information collected
·         Report all information or difficulty related to project activities or security aspects
·         Attend regular in-house follow-up discussions/meetings with the project team
