I worked at Afiniti for more than a year as an Analyst Software Engineer. The role primarily revolved around using MySQL to minitor and detect exceptions and deviation from smooth operation. Providing initial assessment of urgency and business impact while keeping the stake holders in loop and trouble shooting to minimize the losses and get the system back to smooth functioning. Extracting and filtering large data sets from the DB to account for any changes /anomalies in system health. Performing statistical analysis and reporting of Afiniti data on client request using the DB and client\'s portal. Client server operating,Networking, IP telephony Experience of using ticketing system -JIRA to account for all the issues encountered and their resolution at the end of the day. Excellent Communication and Customer service skills Ability to explain complex technical issues to non technical staff/client Documenting knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles

My masters was in Computer science and the focus was data science. My thesis revolved around using large data set of the nutrient break down of soil for the districts in Punjab and using machine learning and mathematical modelling to predict soil fertility due to mono culture and crop rotation practices and see the impact of fertilizer on the soil over the course of years.
