StandAlone PV System

In the era of modern technology, electricity has become a necessity of life because of its vast applications in many applications of daily life. Electricity is generated with the help of natural resources like coal, water and natural gas. With the passage of time, all these natural resources will be endangered. This problem can be solved by installing non-conventional alternate and renewable energy source power plants instead of using conventional natural energy sources. Solar energy power system is one of the best option from non-conventional energy sources. Pakistan is a third world, under developed country suffering many energy crisis. Most of rural areas have no access to grids and depend upon conventional sources for the generation of electricity. In this project, we worked on standalone photovoltaic systems which generate electricity by mean of solar energy. A stand-alone power system is off-the-grid electricity supply system for locations that have no provision with an electricity distribution system. In case of standalone PV system, solar panels are mounted to capture maximum solar energy and convert them into electricity. When light strikes the surface of solar panel, electrons get excited and produce current by harvesting solar energy and that energy gets stored in the solar batteries using charge controller and finally we succeeded to get required output voltage at 50Hz frequency with the help of high frequency transformer inverter. Electricity generated from nonconventional solar energy sources is eco-friendly and a portable energy solution. It is a best alternative to meet electricity demand in future when world will be suffering from shortage of natural means of electricity production.
