History taking, physical examination, investigations and its interpretation, diagnosis and treatment of outdoor patients and in emergency department.

Key responsibilities
1- Defining, planning and monitoring Medical activities and programs in the field in accordance with MSF protocols
2- Coordinate human and material related resources needed in order to ensure quality of care provided by MSF
3- Responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting to the Medical Coordinator to ensure proper monitoring of the program
4- Participate in development of the project, annual plan, project proposal, budget review and project reports to donors
5- Participate in exploratory missions/situation assessment and define medical operational priorities when needed
6- Ensure regular contact MOH and other medical actors
7- Monitor activity in different medical specialities, as well as providing technical support to medical personnel in the field through self knowledge and policies to help MSF activities in the field
8- Coordinate, supervise, coach and support medical team members performance to improve medical components of the project, and ensure compliance with MSF protocols and standards as well as MOH protocols
9- Plan and supervise in close coordination with Project Coordinator, the associated processes (training, induction, performance evaluation and development of medical staff of the project, in order to ensure both the sizing and amount of knowledge required to improve people capabilities
10- Follow up with relevant international staff on recruitment of medical staff as per recruitment policy
11- Supervise an efficient management of the MSF field pharmacy and medical equipment, in conjunction with logistics area and monitor consumption, follow up and preparation of drug orders to avoid drug shortages and provide drugs at all circumstances, also consider program directions and protocol changes
12- Implement the health policy for national staff, providing all prophylactic and preventive necessary measures, structures and emergency plans, managing any medical evacuation in order to ensure MSF staff health

Main purpose
1-To provide inpatient medical care (preventative and curative) according to adapted and updated medical knowledge,MSFprotocols, values and universal hygiene standards and in multidisciplinary collaboration with expat team, other medical doctors and paramedical staff 2-Overseeing admission, treatment and discharge planning for children from neonates to children 12 years of age.
3-To ensure transfer of skills and knowledge to junior colleagues and to paramedics in order to improve their skills and quality of work
Key responsibilities
Curative /clinical responsibilities
1-Take complete history, perform appropriate examination, diagnose and treat patients according to MSF guidelines and protocols
2-Appropriate & timely management of paediatric/neonatal patients
3-Adaptation and change of medical treatment according to patients evolution
4-Adequate delivery of life-saving measures for emergency & life threatening conditions.
5-Appropriate & timely intervention in stabilizing critically ill patients AND facilitating their transfer or referral when necessary
6-Regular ward rounds for admitted paediatric/ neonatal patients as per roster in collaboration with medical team 7-Responsible for the care of the inpatient therapeutic feeding patients and consultation for the patients in the ambulatory therapeutic feeding program.
8-Ensure transfer of skills and knowledge to junior MDs in the facility through ward rounds, case discussions, teaching tutorials, conducting different procedures etc.
9-Appropriate triaging of patients and continuous prioritizing of workload
10-Communicate any suspected public health problem (eg. Measles, meningitis, etc) to expat doctor and/or nurses

Rotations in outpatient department, emergency department and learned the management of gynecological diseases and pregnancy related health problems including prenatal and postnatal care.

3-July 2014 - October 2014 (Medicine)
Rotations in different departments including
Internal Medicine ward, Radiology, Neurology, Nephrology,Cardiology, ICU and Geriatrics Department.

4-October 2014 - February 2015 (Surgery)
Surgery and Allied Sciences including Angiology Unit, Burn unit,Orthopedics & Traumatology, Surgical Emergency & department of Anesthesia.
