IMPORT ORDER PLANNING Planning and Execution of Import Raw Materials updating projections and assortments at beginning of each month for timely placing imports orders. NEGOTIATION WITH SUPPLIER AND RESOURCING Rate negotiation with supplier on the basis of Market Rate, LMEs. Try to get competitive rates with existing supplier. Continuous efforts to find new foreign sources with an aim to get cost benefits, improvements of Quality, and Lead time benefits. BANKING All the communication with Banks and preparation of documents from opening of L/C, Contract, till retirement of Documents. (Opening LC, Financial Instruments, Amendments, Discrepancies, Endorsements, Rate negotiations, Retirements, Supplier Payments. PSW/ WeBOC Etc.) FREIGHT FORWARDERS Find best forwarder services keeping in view to ensure right vessel/Air schedule, competitive freight rate, Maximum free detention days, CUSTOM CLEARANCE Ensure timely clearance of a shipment to avoid any demurrage, detention, yard charges, etc. Timely payments of Duties, Taxes, freight, Port charges, THC, etc. ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT BOARD (EDB)Updating record of imports and production and consumption claimed for submission to EDB at year end for revision of concessionary entitlement for ensuring year. SAP Preparation of all Imports contracts and Purchase orders.
