2019-03 - Current HR Advisor at Ipas Pakistan,
The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing tactical and strategic HR support to the Pakistan country Office. This position is responsible for implementation of various Ipas HR programs and initiatives in line with established Ipas policies and processes, including recruitment support, onboarding, performance management, maintenance and communications around HR policies, benefits management, contingent worker relations, and facilitation of HR training and workshops. This role may also take responsibility for security activities in the office and for staff during work activities. The position reports to the Country Director, liaises closely with all units in Ipas Pakistan and is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.
· Provides leadership to HR unit
· Contributes to the role of member in SMT
· Provide support and supervision to HR staff reporting
· Provide day to day support of the administrative operations of the country program, ensuring office management processes are organized and efficient
· Builds relationships with all managers in the organization, to consult and provide HR support and guidance.
· Maintains knowledge of laws and requirements related to management of staff, works to reduce legal and other HR related risks and to ensure regulatory compliance. Partners with local legal counsel as needed.
· Advises on and coordinates recruitment and selection processes, as per organizational procedures.
· Develops and implements locally appropriate onboarding processes and communications for new staff, in line with Ipas policies and approach.
· Ensure compliance with Ipas policies, the staff Handbook, employment contracts, and Ipas minimum standards.
· Prepare and manage service contracts with the consultant/firms per procurement policy/SOP
· Provides support to supervisors to develop staff skills and capabilities to ensure accurate job descriptions are available; Provides support related to developing and updating job descriptions.
· Provides performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
· Works to ensure a competitive and cost-efficient benefits package and supports salary scale reviews and revisions as needed.
· Identifies training and development opportunities, as well as organizing training sessions, workshops and staff recognition and appreciation activities.
· Ensures accuracy and proper functioning of the human resources information system, including monitoring the proper entry of information from activities such as: timesheets, vacations, permits, and absences.
· Ensures timely enrollment and off-enrollment in/out of benefits, and timely updates on HR systems.
· Works with supervisors to manage voluntary and involuntary separations, including conducting exit interviews.
· Supports security policies and procedures; works with the Ipas CAM Director and other leaders to mitigate risks
· Implements the Ipas staff Engagement Survey, reports on their results, and works with Ipas CAM leadership to ensure a positive organizational climate.
· Any other task/responsibility assigned by the Supervisor/Country Director.
