During this internship I have developed my skills in Maintenance, Operations and Planning Department.

In maintenance, I got knowledge in following

• Different tests of Generator and Transformer.
LIKE MEGGER AND LOOP RESISTANCE TEST FOR MOTOR , DISCREPANCY AND LOOP TEST OF CIRCUIT BREAKERS, EARTH RESISTANCE TEST AND OIL TEST OF TRANSFORMER
• 132 / 220 KV Switchyards Protection.
• Maintenance of different electrical components.

In operation, I got knowledge in following

• Overall process theory of combined cycle technology.
• Start-up and shutdown sequence of Gas Turbine, HRSG and steam Turbine.
• Gas Turbine, HRSG and Steam Turbine alarms and protections.
• BOP\'s AND plant auxiliaries.
• Generator, Transformer and Bus Bar Electrical Protections.
• Electrical Diagrams.
• Monitoring and analyzing plant operating parameters to predict potential faults and taking appropriate actions.
• Providing safety from system derived hazards to personnel working on plant and apparatus by implementing KAPCO safety rules.
• Monitoring of plant efficiency parameters and taking necessary actions if there for any abnormality.

In planning, I got knowledge in following

• Planning of routine maintenance activities and enabling the business to meet availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and coordination among the departments.
• KPI monitoring by checking outstanding works of fault and preventive maintenance and generate report from CMMS as Key Performance Indicator report regularly.
• Planning and troubleshooting of power plant equipment with good reporting capabilities.
• Check quality and accuracy of maintenance project schedules, analyze schedule variations and evaluate trends.
• Look after all maintenance and make sure all is being considered and implemented in the maintenance plans.
• Circulate monthly report to reduce backlog in CMMS by checking PM/CM ratio to ensure maintenance only when it is actually required
