Amal Academy, founded in 2013 by Stanford University graduates, is an education venture that provides business and life skills training to students in low-income high schools and universities in Pakistan. The organization’s flagship offering is a three-month, 150-hour Career-prep Fellowship that focuses on training in problem solving, teamwork, professionalism and etiquette, and communication. It is funded by PepsiCo, Acumen Fund, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Echoing Green, and Syed Babar Ali.
As a Program Manager, I am responsible for:
- Managing and facilitating 3-month long “Career-Prep Fellowships” every quarter, each comprising of 24 training sessions, targeted towards building professional skills, including teamwork, communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving,
- Tracking weekly progress and student scores during the span of the fellowship, while providing regular online feedback and one on one counseling,
- Providing detailed feedback to Fellows on their experiential learning projects, supporting them in their job applications and interview preparation,
- Mentoring fellows in program planning and implementation of their social-impact Mega Project,
- Onboarding new markets and driving applications to expand the fellowship scope for the organization,
- Leading Amal Alumni Talks; engaging alumni through Facebook live,
- Co-facilitating a 2-weeks teacher’s training (Amal Academy & HEC Partnership),
- Co-facilitating training modules for new employees focused on innovative teaching and facilitation techniques,
- Involved in cross-functional projects across the organization, including Marketing, Operations, and People and Culture.
- Researching on curricular reforms spurred by international agencies that have come forth in Pakistan, that aimed at improving schools on a scale,
- Researching on education policy documents regarding social, political, and economic efficiency and creating a narrative of its transition over the years
- Researching on the impact of COVID-19 on school leadership in schools in Punjab
- Researching on the usage of social media by government agencies on their interaction with citizens for engagement, digital governance, and surveillance

- Managing the day-to-day administrative functions for iTuition.
- Strategizing marketing and outreach plans over social media and web platforms to
increase reach, for iTuition.
- Overseeing academic content for iTuition stakeholders, including research, providing structures, support, and feedback to team members/clients as well as plan for their growth.
- Designing instructional and gamification strategy for the courses with a focus on student learning outcomes (SLOs) powered by digital interactive platform (DIP).
- Design and deliver training modules for Tutor\'s training program.
