Servers Infrastructure:
· Installing, managing and maintaining servers.
· Managing active directory user and computers. Performing tasks like creating, deleting, unlocking user, changing passwords and managing OUs.
· Administering file server. Granting/Limiting access to the users for the required files and folders.
· Deploying Group policy according to the School requirement. e.g. mapping network drive, proxy settings, customized wallpaper, preventing users from accessing command prompt and control panel etc.
· Taking server backups using option of “backup once” for non-critical servers every two months.
· Take scheduled Back-ups for critical servers using Microsoft DMP on the LTO Tapes.
· Pushing software’s and patches using SCCM servers.
· Managing Windows update server. (WSUS)
· Managing users and computers from office 365, Azure portal and intunes.
· Managing Print server, renewing/restricting users Quota. Pulling paper consumption reports etc.
Network Monitoring
· Make sure all the network devices like switches, routers and access points are up and running.
· Monitoring and troubleshooting WI-FI issue using Aruba Airwave controller.
· Creating and managing different subnets, VLANs and SSIDs for different type of users.
· Creating different rules for different networks to specify the bandwidth and access level.
· Performing basic network operations like creating new VLANs, adding switch ports in required VLAN according to the requirement, enable routing among different subnets etc.
· Make needed upgrades and repairs to networks and ensure that systems are operating correctly.
· Evaluate and optimize network or system performance.
· Interpret and solve problems when a user or our monitoring system alerts for the existence of the any issue in the network.
Information Security
· Managing antivirus server. Using Trend Micro endpoint security. creating scanning and exclusion policies etc.
· Administering Sophos Firewall.
· White listing and blacklisting URLs according School requirements.
· Creating policies for granting/limiting access for different networks and users to different resources.
· Creating IPSec Tunnels and SSL VPN users and providing them the required access from external networks.
· Monitoring traffic trend on daily bases for security customization.
Telephone System administration
· Administrating AVAYA IP Telephone manager.
· Creating new extension.
· Changing extension name.
· Limiting extension to the specific access e.g. Internal, Local, or International calling access.
· Enabling/disabling call forwarding.
· Escalating connection issues to service provider.
· Enabling/Disabling caller ID on the line.
Level 1 support:
· Troubleshooting IT issues on daily bases related to internet, printers, software and hardware problems.
· Coordinating with the Vendors for the maintenance of the machines like broken laptops, Desktops, printers, Access points, etc.
· Remotely supporting the users using SCCM and Windows Remote Desktop Utility.
· Configure and troubleshoot printers and scanners.
· Making arrangement for the board meetings e.g. projector, camera, skype for business etc.
· Configuring and troubleshooting issues in email client like outlook, office365 and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (for mobile devices)
· Keep endpoints and users secure from virus, worm, trogons, malwares and spams using trend micro endpoint Security and Sophos firewall.
· Managing and maintaining machines in ICT and Science Labs.
· Keeping track of hardware and software inventory.
· Creating procedures and catalogs to document the issues and solution for future reference.
· Providing support for the installation and troubleshooting of class management solution. (Net-Support)
· Deeply Involved in new projects. e.g. deployment of new servers, firewall, door access system, printers etc.
· Providing support to the students and teachers during exams and activities.
