Mehnaz Fatima Foundation (MFF) is a not- for profit organization that has been working on inclusive education, inclusive skill development, food security, human capital development, climate change and rehabilitation of the children with special needs in Gilgit-Baltistan since 1999.

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is a private, non-profit company, established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982 to improve the quality of life of the people of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral. www.akrsp.org.pk.
During my assignment with AKRSP, I have completed the following purposeful task:
. Developed research methodology to conduct survey of household gainful employment dynamics in GB;
. Prepared questionnaire and conducted household survey to identify household gainful employment;
. Collected primary & secondary data of household level dynamics of employability and gainful employment;

Karakorum Area Development Organization (KADO) is an indigenous organization that has been working for sustainable development of the mountain communities in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral of the Pakistan since 1998.
Being a CEO, I was responsible for strategic planning, leadership and management, program development and planning, fund raising and resource mobilization, financial management, human resource management, operations, monitoring and evaluation of the program/projects and have close coordination with all the stakeholders including parents, community, partners, donors, Diplomats and Board. www.kado.org.pk

Hashoo Foundation (HF) is a progressive and dynamic nonprofit organization, leading the way in human development and poverty alleviation by implementing viable economic development, educational and capacity building programs. www.hashoofoundation.org . Being a senior team member of the Foundation, I was responsible to develop departmental strategic plan, annual work plan, annual budget, concept notes and proposals for resource mobilization, keep close coordination with all the stake holders and to ensure purposeful implementation of the planned activities.

Lead and supervised “Improving Micro Enterprises of Dairy” project in District Bahawalpur & Layya, funded by USAID & HOPE-87. More than 9,000 women empowered with the provision of capacity building, formation of dairy groups and linked dairy producers with Nestle, Engro, and Shaker Ghanj.
Supervised “Harness Indigenous Culture through Economic Empowerment of Artists & Artisans” project in GBC, funded by Danish DANIDA.
Enterprise development program is one of the key strategic intervention of the Hashoo Foundation to empower the disadvantaged and marginalized segment of the society with the provision of capacity building, product development, entrepreneurship development and value chain development. As a value chain specialist, I was responsible to enhance capacity of the artisan and to explore the ensured market avenues for the indigenous products.
Key Achievements
Conducted analytical research and identified potential sectors for livelihood intervention in GBC, KPK & Punjab (i.e. Handicraft, Agriculture, Dairy, Gems and Tourism).
Formed 200 Farmers Enterprise Groups (FEGs) of Dairy, Honeybee, Potato and Gems stone in GBC, KPK & Punjab and enhanced capacity of FEGs in value addition and entrepreneurship development.
Formed 300 Women Enterprise Groups (WEGs) of Dairy, Honeybee Farming, Handicraft, Embroidery, and Gems stone in GBC, KPK & Southern Punjab and developed value chain of these products.
Established income generating enterprise, provided employment to 90 uneducated youth and PKR.70 million revenue earned annually to support social welfare activities of the Foundation.
Linked 870 women honey producers of GBC with five star hotels and supper stores down the country.
Linked 9,000 dairy producers with Nestlé, Engro and Shakar Ghanje Milk Company.
Developed departmental work plan, budget, business plan, marketing plan, and promotional strategy.

Hashoo Foundation initiated livelihood and food security projects in KPK and AJK of the Pakistan after 2005 earthquake. Healing souls Association is the network of the private schools, which imparts quality education to the youth in Gilgit- Baltistan since 1995. Being a Coordinator operations, I was responsible for administrative and operational matters to ensure smooth functions of the academic activities and fostering quality of the services.
