MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

Co-ordinate all activities required to direct and control incoming components quality. In particular to review product quality for individual assembly lines.
Review QC processes and recommend improvements as necessary
Ensure that quality control documentation meets customer requirements.
Supervise inspections, reports and the documentation and collect and file the required Quality Records.
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Co‐ordinate and control day to day operations of department
Ensure zero defects reach assembly lines
Ensure timely checking of components
Co-ordinate with store and management to ensure vendors can meet their supplies on time ensuring no compromise on quality
Co-ordinate vendor visits with management to ensure all vendors meet our quality standards
Immediate notification to Management of any Quality Control issues.
