Project Manager (Civil)

We're looking for Project Manager (Civil) for our mega projects in Bahria Town (Rawalpindi) and DHA (Islamabad). Experience of supervising and managing large scale real-estate projects will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

Supervising site work independently.
Supervising site staff including company supervisors, company labor, and sub-contractors
Determining needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
Planning all construction operations and scheduling intermediate phases to ensure meeting deadlines
Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard
Acquiring equipment & material and monitoring stocks for timely handling of inadequacies
Hiring contractors and other staff and allocating responsibilities
Supervising the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and providing guidance when needed
Evaluating progress and preparing detailed reports
Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues (if any)
Negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers to reach profitable agreements
Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver a project
Selecting, leading and managing a multidisciplinary project team
Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way
Reporting regularly on progress to the director, client and stakeholders
Coordinating market and customer research
Resolving operational, day-to-day issues with minimum involvement of senior management

Requirements:

B.E/B.S Civil Engineering.
Minimum Experience – 10 years in construction of large scale residential, commercial and office buildings.
The candidates must be self-driven, possess initiative and dynamic
Must have good grasp of construction contracts and their applicability
Sound knowledge of Structure & Finishing Civil Works including Carpentry, Paint, External Plaster, Floor Works, Window Works etc.
Labor management skills are a must.
Ability to read drawings and technical specifications and their understanding

Preferred Skills:

The following skills will be an added advantage:

Advance knowledge of AutoCAD
Working knowledge of MS Project/Primavera
