We are looking for a Sr. Laravel developer with proven experience working on large web applications and sites who is as comfortable with the front-end as they are in the back-end. You will be familiar with the latest techniques and technologies in web development and you will be keen to stay up to date. You understand what makes for a great user experience while balancing that with highly performant server side code. You’ll bring ideas to each project and successfully advocate those ideas.

Essential skills

Experience of architecting and building websites and applications using Laravel 5+
Expert-level knowledge of modern PHP, including Composer and PHP-FIG standards and modern web standards with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
Very strong understanding of OOP principles and practices
Very strong MVC and ORM principles and practices
Proficient in MySQL with complex SQL queries
Strong JavaScript/jQuery/Bootstrap skills
Version control and Git workflow
Deployment processes

Added plus (but not required)

Experience with Angular.js
5-7 years of prior Experience as Laravel Developer
Adept at working on the Linux on the command line and using tools such as Vagrant and Virtualbox for setting up development environments
A high level of understanding of MySQL, database design and writing performant queries
Ability and desire to quickly learn and apply new technologies and a working knowledge of other programming languages outside of PHP
Strong understanding of the SOLID object-oriented design principles
Experience with Redis
An understanding of how to build great user experiences
Unit Testing
REST and SOAP APIs
